Doesn’t seem to do anything anymore
I tried using this to stop websites from interfering with clicks and scrolling like it says it does but it has not successfully done its job in months

These features are highly useful in modding how I want safari to operate. I’m tempted to get the pro version soon.

Don’t waste a penny on this app. There is also no customer support. It blocks nothing (YouTube ads?). There is no friendly interface and I am very sorry I was duped into this piece of garbage.

Going to back to using my windows laptop browser firefox with free extensions. Why did you make the same app and call it pro and have people pay $ again for the same thing? This is why I hate Iphone is because developers like you do sh8 like this in the app store that really peas me off, sorry but I aint buying the same exact app, and now you will stop supporting this app, nice try dude nice try now you just made me stop buying everything and everything on the appstore for good so good job 👏.

Was Essential
The latest update now shows an ad for a new paid version of the extension. It doesn’t do anything else. It was updated to show an ad. This is exactly the behavior that the developer rants against all the time and that this extension is supposed to stop. If it happened once, it’ll happen again, no matter how many times the developer might say “it’s only once.” When they show you who they are, believe them. Way to go losing any hard-earned credibility and reputation.

I am puzzled by the reviewer's characterization of the extension, because neither StopTheMadness Mobile nor StopTheMadness Pro is an ad blocker. That's not the purpose of it.

5 stars for saving my time clicking ‘no thanks’ to the common digital dictators many times a day. The mentality their CEO’s have puts the time and energy of the common user in jeopardy for cheap profits that do no one any good, so thank you so much for doing what I couldn’t. I tried creating .css and .js files to fix it myself but didn’t work and it was well worth paying someone who knows what they’re doing and updates it amazingly, so all power to the indie developer who helps the common man in the fight against (essentially) the modern war: the digital front waged against the privacy, time and energy of the people Versus nefarious corporate greed, which will stop at nothing to leech off our attention to shove ads, paywalls, cookies and loyalty programs in our faces. The war is on!

Not going to write an essay here, just going to say that this is one of the best privacy apps I’ve found. Simple to set up and it just works.
I love being able to see changes in realtime
Gotta say I really like this extension; it doesn't do anything shady like "phoning home" (soooo many other apps do) and it's chock-full of handy little quality of life tools to quickly get rid of common annoyances. Great for when trying to do stuff on a small screen.
I also really appreciate how interactive most of the features are so I can just click on things instead of trying to remember a bunch of code.
Don't like that annoying thing on a website? Just click the element hider then click the eyesore. Done.
You even get to see a preview of your actions along with an easy menu to fine-tune your choice.
Between this extension, Web Inspector, and UserScripts - I'm pretty much set.

Makes the web less annoying
There are so many questionable decisions web developers make. Custom video controls with a full screen button that doesn’t actually go full screen… “get the app” nag bars… click and scroll hijacking… The list is endless.
StopTheMadness can’t fix everything, but it has a jolly good go at it. It just sits in the background quietly taking little irritations away so that I never have to think about them, making me a happier person.

Jeff has turned this from a great app to an absolutely fantastic app, continuous updates to improve and add features show his commitment to the project.
The recent addition of an element blocker is the best implementation of this I’ve seen yet. Far better than how 1Blocker or Adguard do element blocking, and much easier for a non-techy end user to use.
Having settings easily transferrable via iCloud is great for those with many Apple products, although maybe a ‘iCloud sync’ option would be an even option.
One of the best extensions to bring control back to you.
Don’t be out off by the App Store warnings that this app can read passwords, private information and other scary stuff, Apple apply this to all extensions and the simple truth is, it doesn’t do any of the scary stuff that is insinuated!! (I’ve read Jeff’s blog on this, so thought I’d mention it here as it might help him)…..
Anyway, take back control over the many idiotic things that some websites try and force you into by downloading this app, it’s an absolute ‘must have’ extension for Safari and you’re missing out by not having it.
One final point, to those whining about paying twice for the iOS/iPad and macOS variants, the dev’s time needs paying for and no doubt he’ll have bills to pay and mouths to feed…. Remember, if it’s free, then you and your data are the product, so you’re paying with your privacy.

Great app, allows all manner of things to be turned on, turned off, over-ridden and generally improves iOS safari in many ways! Well worth the initial cost to be able to use a video site in the background alone! We’ve had a few updates recently that have added more functionality as well. Happy user here. Cheers.

Indispensable
This Safari extension fixes so many annoyances I’ve had with Safari on iPadOS/iOS it’s unreal. It really enhances the experience of using Safari on iPad.
It’s an impressive little app and it offers excellent value with regard to bang for buck. Regular updates and a simple and clean UI to boot.

Great but oh well
Great app , great functionality but unfortunately it broke the web more then it helped , amazon picture slider doesn’t slide , some menus in other websites just doesn’t open or slide to open , some websites when i click on links on them just open a tab on the same page and it doesn’t redirect me to the link i clicked and just copy same page tabs every single click . But still for those who this worked its great . Kinda feels safari faster without it atm .

Just amazing all around!
This app really takes care of a lot; the developer continually updates it as well. I’m always seeing new things added or small bugs corrected. I personally haven’t experienced any bugs, but you can be sure that if you ever do they will be ironed out. This developer works actively on this app; the continued updates and support it receives is very reassuring. I look forward to seeing what else comes to this app. In a world of free to download, but pay to subscribe apps I find it hard to actually purchase something outright. Kind of weird, because that’s how everything used to be; purchase and own is objectively better anyway. If an upfront cost is stopping you, rest assured it’s a safe bet.
