Vinegar Classic was airplaying videos at 360p regardless of my settings. So, I updated the app, and now it doesnt airplay videos at all, only audio.
This isn’t even the first time that updating this app has rendered it useless for me. In fact, it’s why I have automatic updates turned off in the first place.

Please fix the subtitle bug.
It used to work perfectly, but recently it has issues. Frequently the youtube player will replace it and you have to turn it off/back on to work. Sometimes it takes multiple times to work.
Another bug is that subtitles turn themselves on. Apparently the devs think this bug is fixed based on the change log, but the subtitles come back every video for me. Even in the middle of watching a video they turn back on occasionally. It’s very annoying for someone who does not want to see subtitles.

Awesome Tube Cleaner
I’ve been using Vinegar for a few years now. It removes the cruft YouTube foists on you when you access their site.
Tiny footprint, perfect Safari extension, does its job and does it really well.

Needs more updates to stay ahead
When it works it’s great, but all too often the ads are back. Updates come very very rarely, which means it’s going to struggle to stay on top of its promise to remove ads…
