Great app but has recurring bugs
It works well for picture in picture, and blocking ads. Unfortunately there is a bug that always turns on subtitles for videos. It was mentioned in the latest update but it’s still a problem for me. Very frustrating to have to turn off the subtitles again every single time I open a video. Hopefully the devs can figure out a fix soon.

Les sous-titres se réactivent seuls tout le temps
Bien qu’ayant vérifié dans mes paramètres YouTube que les sous-titres ne sont pas activés automatiquement par défaut, et que cela fonctionne effectivement comme prévu avec le lecteur standard de YouTube, avec Vinegar activé, j’ai très souvent les sous-titres qui s’activent au lancement de la vidéo, sans que je les aient activées moi même, et même si je les avais désactivés sur une précédente vidéo.

Works great! Just make sure to disable your ad blocker. They seem to clash if both enabled.

Great When It Works :(
I’ve used the app a long time and only recently the video will start playing but the controls won’t show up. You can’t make the video full screen or skip to a different part of the video. Wish this app would receive an update, Safari is awful to use without it.

This is a must have extension. The awesome developer continually updates it to keep it working properly!

Has worked near perfectly for a few years now. Adds a lot of functionality to the youtube player. It’s much better to have the skip 10 seconds buttons available without being in full screen. The only problem is over the last month for me there has been a buffer at the beginning of most videos.
I tested it out by disabling Vinegar, and there was no buffer on the default player. You will also see the experiencing interruptions? Notification so this is definitely intentional by youtube as that’s a problem on desktop as well. Vinegar classic has its own issues with youtube so I prefer Vinegar instead. I’m hoping this can be fixed in an update at some point. Still a great extension.
Solution: For anyone who stumbles upon this I managed to fix this issue by changing the user agent. There’s a few apps on the AppStore capable of doing this very easy.

Works well.
This works well to make mobile YouTube useable without a subscription to YouTube premium. I combine it with uBlock origin lite and SponsorBlock for that old school web feeling, before the user was the product.
Only complaint is alternative audio tracks can’t be listened to with vinegar active, but the developer does update the app fairly regularly so hopefully they’ll add that feature at some point if it is possible.

Video controls layout disappears totally after watch a youtube video for some time in Safari, iPadOS26.
