So if you’re solely using this for macOS, this is a good app. However, if you need it for iOS as well, you should decide if you need the feature I explained. If that’s not important for you, then it’s good for iOS as well.

Did you allow StopTheScript on all websites? The instructions actually warn not to do that. Some websites do require JavaScript, including YouTube, so you don't want to allow StopTheScript there. Neither Gruber nor I recommended the extension for YouTube.

Works perfectly and easily!
(Providing one a) follows the steps described within in the app and b) disables JS on a website that still works without it. If one website is or all websites are broken, it’s an user error!)
Does what it says, but what does is stupid
1. Why would there be no ability to whitelist certain websites? — this is different from enabling the <noscript> tags. Enabling noscript tags still breaks minor sites like Google.com.
2. Why would the choice be all or nothing JavaScript. Why not work like NoScript on every other platform and give a choice of scripts to run vs. block, and allow some to be global and some only for the given website.
As designed and implemented, it works, but is useless. As it is currently configured, it is worth about 50 cents.
Write a shortcut that turns JavaScript on and off in settings and it would be equally useful. Avoid this until it’s updated to have relevance.

Could be a great extension, however…
Once installed, the extension worked flawlessly, loading time on a 7 year old iPad 6. Gen:
With StopTheScript 5 seconds, w/o 2 minutes.
However, it works on *every* website, disabling via popup doesn't work (yes, I've restarted Safari).
So I read the docs only to recognize that the docs describe a complete different popup which doesn't resemble the popup triggered in Safari in any way.
So now even search engines don‘t work w/o JavaScript - only option is to disable the app in the OS-settings:
6,99 € wasted, but holding my hopes high that the developer is going to fix it - then I‘d happily grant 5 stars.

Open the Settings app to the Apps section, select Safari, Extensions, StopTheScript, and switch Other Websites from Allow to Ask. It sounds like you allowed StopTheScript on every website, which you don't want to do. Just allow it on the specific websites where you need it. For more assistance, please contact support.

What a stupid app
This app will keep you “booted” from the internet unless you fully disable it,
What is the point? Just do go online if you don’t want global use the internet rather than pay for this app to not go online,
Tbs only way my browser worked is with this app disabled.

Very useful
Cumbersome on MacOS, doesn' work on iPadOS
Oddly, while it appears to work (Ialbiet still very cumbersome) on iOS, it apears stuck in "always on" mode on iPadOS, even with the same settings. Both systems are the current release version, 17.5.1.

You can switch from always on to "Ask" in Safari Extensions Settings. Please contact support with any issues. This reviewer never contacted support. Safari extensions are more limited than Firefox extensions, so NoScript can't be replicated exactly.
