Best extension for Safari

Apple should have added this to Safari back in iOS 14. This feature is still not in iOS 17…

Simple, yet effective security

HTTPS should be default online. This extension makes it so – every websites loads over secure HTTPS by default. When I come across the rare website which does not support TLS, I set an exception in HTTPS Upgrade. The extension is perfectly simple and does not have any performance impact on Safari.

Can't activate it!

I bought this app becouse of it's description. But I CAN NOT activate the extension in Safari! I'm runing the latest Catalina version.
I hope the developer is going to fix that soon.
Update:
The developer contacted me but he was not able to fix the problem. Instead he offered to asked for a refund. I will not ask for a refund because I think the idea behind the app is great and hope for a update.

Response from developer

Dear user Thank you for your review. Let’s do the entire setup again. Open HTTPS Now (the app you downloaded from the App Store) and then press the "Enable HTTPS Now" button. A new window will open and on that window, on the left side press the checkbox near HTTPS Now. Now the extension is active and you can use it - you can click its button in Safari, near the address bar. If you cannot see the extension button, please restart your browser, this will solve a lot of problems. Hope this helps. You can also send me a message to hello@alexdenk.eu if you need more details. Regards

Great alternative to Https everywhere

If you are looking for an extension that works like https everywhere, this is a good one. I have been using it on my mac and iphone and it works great. It redirects all insecure websites to a secure version of them. Also, you can control the options on how it works for all or a single site. If you have problem accesing a site that is using an insecure http protocol only, you can deactivate the extension for that particular site from the extension manager.

I like this extension very much because it does what it has to do. Keep me in the secure side of the web site and block any insecure http connection. It si not a vpn, but works fine with any of them.
