I love this – I built my own app with Stqry
I had an idea, but no idea on how to build a platform to present my tour. Stqry had it all. They have a very easy to use website where I could go in and plot all my stops and add my narrative for each stop and add Internet links, etc. I love it.
Doesn’t work!
Tried it in November at Sky Tower in Auckland and again at Te Puia in Rotorua. On both occasions whilst I could scan in the code, it wasn’t possible to read the full description in the app. Very disappointing! Went back to good old Lonely Planet and other apps ...
Takes away from the experience
Used this at an Andrew Wyeth exhibit. This app is a huge disappointment. I spent more time trying to get the app to work than looking at the exhibit. Often stopped working. Required frequent closing and re-opening. Navigation is terrible. What a shame,as properly done this app could add to the experience.

Horrible and needs better QA
App completely mismatched the art that was being discussed at any given point. Somebody should really have better QA. Very disappointed and distracted from the Seattle Art Museum experience.
Great idea, fair execution
I love this idea of having been the app call up a story when you're near the story being told, but it doesn't work. Using this app manually is also tough, because the numbers on the videos (within the app) don't match the stories in the actual museum. I realize this is a work in progress, but it would seem it's easy to re-number the stories in the museum to match the app. The stories are good; the information excellent.
