Based on my experience don’t buy PULSAR just because how bad this app is! Contacting pulsar support is just as useless as the APP.

Pointless
So, tried for hours and simply can’t get it to connect with my Helion XQ50F. Pulsar make decent (if very expensive) products but this app really isn’t fit for purpose. And no contact details to give any guidance on what I might be able to do to fix it. I’ve also tried the ‘2’ version but that says my model isn’t supported. All very tedious.

Never worked good
Had this app for several years and it’s always been useless constantly having to close out and start the whole connection process over and now I have it on 3 devices and none will connect
Completely Unreliable
I spend half the night trying to connect to this awful app. It’s more of an art than a science. By far the most frustrating app I have on my phone and the most annoying aspect of thermal hunting for me.
Absolute junk
Complete waste of time. Significant lag. Unstable, will not hold connection for more than a few minutes. I have tried with multiple devices. The app is junk. I will never buy pulsar again.
Still Not Connecting - XM30S
Following on from the reviews that are a year old now, the app is still terrible and will not connect to my XM30S spotter.
There have been multiple people all around the world reporting this poorly performing app not just me, and there has been absolutely nothing done about it!
I am attempting to return the spotter as I cannot use it to its full range of features and therefore it is not fit for purpose.

This used to work
My Helion 50 will not work with this app anymore. That’s a bummer since this thing was a lot a few years ago. The app used to work but no more.
XP38
It provides “jerky” and stuttering performance when paired with our XP38 to the extent that it is unusable for video viewing. Much better when paired with the XQ50 Cheers Sam

Had to put my phone into flight mode with the wifi connected to the Accolade Bono’s to get it to prompt to allow local network connections on the device with iOS 13. Once that was done the connection seems ok. Took a king time to work it out though. Haven’t had to do this for any other app before.

Lots of bugs and pretty much nothing works.
Could not connect my iPhone X to my helion XP Pro. iPad Pro did connect but apart from updating firmware nothing works properly. The setup icons do not match the descriptions. The thermal viewing does not work at all.
