About

Stride is a habit tracker built around who you're becoming — not just what you're doing. Most habit apps count streaks. Stride builds identity. You define your direction, set milestones, and the app coaches you through the journey — from the first uncertain days to the habits that feel automatic. Start with your why The journey wizard helps you articulate who you're becoming, set a horizon, and choose milestones that mark real progress. Your habits follow from that — not the other way around. A coach in your pocket The Insights tab thinks like a real coach. On Day 1 it tells you to show up. By Day 30 it's naming your strongest habit and pointing at what's dragging you down. By Day 90 it's suggesting the next level. It knows exactly where you are in your journey and adjusts accordingly. Track what matters Log yes/no habits, numeric goals (distance, minutes, glasses of water), and weekly targets like gym sessions. HealthKit integration fills in steps, exercise, and sleep automatically so you're not double-entering data you already have. Chapters, not restarts Life changes. When you start a new direction, Stride opens a new chapter — archiving your old habits, preserving your history, and giving you a clean run to track. Your Scorecard calendar shows your current chapter clearly while keeping all-time data one tap away. Journal without surveillance The daily journal runs entirely on-device. Your words never leave your phone. Apple's NaturalLanguage framework extracts mood and energy signals locally — no server ever sees your raw entries. Streak mechanics that don't punish you Cheat cards let you protect a streak on the day life gets in the way. Hall of Fame lets you retire a completed habit with its history intact. The system is built for real people, not perfect ones. Privacy by design Raw health data stays on device. Journal text is never transmitted. Coach features that use AI send only aggregated, anonymised summaries — never your personal data. Stride is free to use. Premium AI coaching features are available with your own Anthropic API key.
