About
Studio Archive Pro is a catalog for working artists. It keeps the record of your work in one place you can actually open: what you made, where it is, who has it, and what it sold for.
Your archive is ordinary folders on your own disk. Photographs, records and a readable catalog file, laid out to a recognised archival standard, named consistently, and legible without this app. Nothing is held away from you. If you stop paying, or this app disappears tomorrow, your archive is still there and still makes sense.
What it keeps
Works, with dimensions, medium, substrate, series, signature and provenance.
Editions, with artist's proofs and their own prices and sales.
Sales and consignments, with commission, buyer and gallery.
Condition reports, and where each work has been.
Exhibitions, awards, residencies and publications, and a CV built from them.
Contacts: galleries, collectors, framers, printers.
What it makes
Portfolio PDFs to send to a gallery.
Tear sheets, certificates of authenticity, and invoices in the currency of the sale.
A CV you keep current instead of rebuilding.
Spreadsheets of everything, whenever you want them.
Photographs, filed properly
On the Mac, drop in a photograph and it is filed under the work, renamed to a consistent scheme, and made into the sizes you need: a full-resolution TIFF and JPEG for print, a large file for submissions, and a smaller sharpened one for posting. All sRGB and tagged with the right resolution, so what you send a printer is what you meant to send.
Numbers that do not move
Inventory numbers are four digits, issued in order and never reused. A number that has gone out on a label or a condition report still means the same work in ten years.
On your desk and in your pocket
One account, one archive. Your Mac holds the original files; your iPhone and iPad show the same catalog, so you can check a price or a provenance standing in a gallery.
No AI service sees your work
Nothing you write and no photograph you file is sent to an AI service. Where the app helps with a statement or a description, it gives you a prompt to copy and you paste the answer back. You decide what goes in, and there is a manual way to do everything.
A free month, counted fairly
Thirty days, counted from the first work you add rather than the day you installed it. Artists work in bursts, and a trial spent during a fortnight you never opened the app is not a trial.
Afterwards the app becomes read-only. You can still browse, search, export and back up. Adding and editing need Unlock Everything, a single purchase that covers Mac, iPad and iPhone together. No subscription.
