Wish there were more customizable options

Overall this is a good app that is indeed stupid simple which I love. I just wish I could customize my workouts more. For instance you can only choose one weight for all the sets of a specific exercise but I would like to to be able to add drop sets or at least say that for set 5 do this weight. I think a feature like this would make me completely happy with the app because that is what is hardest for me to keep track of.

Liars

"Unlike the other guys, we never charge a subscription for our premium features." Then asks me to pay when I try to set up my first pre-built workout because it's a premium feature to use pre-built workouts. Liars. Deleting app immediately.

Really slow

I am on the verge of giving up on this app. I hoped it would get better but actually it has gotten worse. It runs incredibly slowly. I load my workout and walk away, i am not patient enough for the time it takes to load, but now when i complete a set it is not done loading!

What does it do?

I cannot tell what this app is or what it does. Every time I try to do anything it says, I am sorry but you have to upgrade to the pro version. And I’m sorry I don’t care if it is only a one time purchase, I want to know what you were going to be able to do with the app. There needs to be a trial period. I want to be able to use this to track my workouts on a Nordic track skiing machine. Will this app do that?

Response from developer

Hi, I'm sorry to hear about the confusing experience you've had with trying to log your workouts. With the free version of the app, you can create your own exercise routine where you can add multiple exercises (including cardio, weights, etc.) and then begin tracking. Though you can track elliptical exercises, we don't currently offer support for the data coming from machines, but you can record it in the app and then compare the estimate with the estimate from the machine. With PRO, you can add more exercise routines, like if you have a leg day, arm day, etc. If you have any more questions, please feel free to get in touch with us at support@venninteractive.com.

Best UI for logging but lacks key features

UI for logging workout is really good. Similar to StrongLifts 5x5. But in StrongLifts you can not create your own workout routines. So this wins. Now the negatives -

1. Interface is slow. Probably react native or ios native would be better/faster.

2. No way to upload/save/backup workouts in the cloud on your google drive or whatever. Change device, workouts are lost!

3. Automatic weight adding option is limited. What if I want to automatically add weight every week, instead of every instance of the exercise. Maybe I do same weight twice a week. And each week add weight.

4. No automatic countdown timer that beeps/vibrates reminding you to do the next set.

Response from developer

Hello, I’m sorry to hear that the app didn’t live up to your expectations. The app is still relatively new, and we add new features based on customer feedback like yours. If you have any more feedback to share, you can contact us at support@venninteractive.com. In regards to slowdowns on your device, I made a log of this and I let tech support know that you were experiencing slowdowns - we’ll definitely try to improve this to make the app run smoother on your device. In regards to saving your workouts, your workouts get saved on your device, and you can definitely view your workouts on other devices by logging in with the same account you create in the app. In regards to automatic weight option, thanks for sharing your feedback about this. We’ll consider making it more flexible. In the mean time you can set it to zero and update it manually. Finally, in regards to a timer, I made a log of your request for this and we will definitely consider adding this for a future update.
