Network issues

Impossible to go through verification as app is keep saying about the network issues. Doesn’t work both for email (worked once and then stopped) and phone number. Im getting the codes but verification after fails.

We apologize for the inconvenience. We understand this can be frustrating. Please ensure you have a stable internet connection and try verifying again. If the issue persists, please contact support for further assistance.

Body Composition Inaccurate.

The body composition calculations are wildly inaccurate since the software update. Literally increased 10% body fat overnight. Doctor’s machine calculates 16.6% while Styku shows 29%. Both machines matched before the software update. Styku’s saving grace is that it accurately measures waist size.

Response from developer

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand how seeing a significant change in body fat percentage could be concerning, and we’d like to provide some clarification around what you’re seeing. The calculations themselves are not inaccurate, but the Styku Mobile App exclusively displays measurements from our Advanced Model, which is our newest and most advanced body composition model. Our Basic Model uses BIA-style calculations, while our Advanced Model uses DEXA-style calculations, which are widely considered the gold standard in body composition analysis. Because of this, the Advanced Model is the model we recommend and the one displayed within the Styku Mobile App. The values shown on the scanner or in reports may be using the Basic Model instead, depending on the settings selected by the business. Since the two models calculate body composition differently, comparing a Basic Model result to an Advanced Model result can make it appear as though body fat changed dramatically overnight, even though the underlying scan data itself remains the same. On the scanner, users can toggle between the Basic and Advanced models to compare the differences between the two measurement methods. When the same model is applied consistently across scans, the values should remain much more consistent over time. We appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to provide additional context around the reporting models shown within the app and scanner experience.

Very informative

Very helpful information. It has all the key points to watch for during my weight loss journey

Dev please read

The prediction simulation for potential health risks are very inaccurate, I understand its using American standard based on BMI, weight etc but it’s highly inaccurate and can lead to major lawsuit. Be very careful. This is regarding the health screen section. Regardless of your disclaimer it’s awful.

Response from developer

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We take concerns about accuracy very seriously. To clarify, the health screen is not based on BMI alone. BMI is one common reference point in health screening, but our approach also incorporates body-shape and body-distribution measurements that are well supported in the scientific literature, including waist-related and regional body-composition metrics associated with cardiometabolic risk. A growing body of peer-reviewed research shows that central body-fat distribution and body-shape markers can predict health risk more accurately than weight or BMI alone. That includes studies showing improved identification of metabolic syndrome risk using 3D optical body-shape data, as well as research linking waist circumference and trunk-to-leg volume patterns with hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular risk, and metabolic disease. That said, our health screen is intended as an educational screening tool to help users better understand possible risk patterns and start more informed conversations with qualified healthcare professionals. It is not a medical diagnosis, and it is not intended to replace clinical evaluation, lab testing, or physician judgment. We appreciate your feedback and will continue improving the experience, clarity, and education around how these results are generated and how they should be interpreted.

Game changer

Incredibly broad. App experience is straightforward and easy to follow. Ton of education built in to the info buttons. Very impressed.

Response from developer

We are so excited you are enjoying the app. Yes, tons of education in the info buttons.

Great feature that was always needed BUT…

I love the fact that I can now check on my scans with an app instead of having to go to old emails. However, the body fat % numbers are not correct. Neither are mine nor all of my clients in my facility. So I do not feel comfortable promoting the app yet to all the hundreds of my clients until that feature is fixed. Additionally, having to pay for a subscription model when we are already paying for a monthly service to use the Styku after having spent a lot of money buying the equipment that’s not optimal. They should at least include 25 -50 free subscriptions for the clients of the facility and then include an add-on where an “X” amount of clients get the features and then you can buy another package of “X” amount of clients to use the additional feature. To have to pay an extra $100 per client is ridiculous. Specially when we don’t know how accurate the numbers are if the % body fat isn’t correctly displayed. Tired of everything that you already paid for now comes with a subscription model behind it.

Hi Alex. Thanks for taking the time to send us a review. With regards to the BFP. There are rare cases where the BFP in the mobile app may not match what is reported in Styku Studio's software. It is likely your Styku Phoenix setting is set to the Basic Body Composition model, which is now considered legacy and will no longer be supported. A notice is going out shortly to help communicate why, but mainly its because the Advanced Model is far more accurate. When releasing the Mobile App, we had to make a choice about which model to use for Body Composition, and we chose the Advanced Model because of its high accuracy and validation with regards to DEXA data. To resolve this issue, simply update your settings in Styku Studio to the Advanced Model. That will ensure the Body Comp data reported in the Mobile App is the same as reported in the Desktop Software, aka, Styku Studio. In regards to the subscription. We did not intend to display a "paywall" to users when they first download and register on the app. That is a bug we are currently resolving and should have a fix for. I completely agree that is frustrating for the user, especially when they are trying to get their first scan completed. Thanks again for your feedback. Please feel free to respond to this thread or let me know if I can be helpful in any other way. I hope to check back in with you once these issues have been resolved. In the meantime, you have any trouble accessing the setting or need to understand why the Advanced Model is favored now, let me know and I will personally walk you through it. Thanks!

I had the scanner for 6 months now and this is the best feature ever. Long overdue and glad it is finally available.

Response from developer

Awesome, so glad you love it!

Thank You Styku

I finally got the opportunity to do my first Styku body scan, and it’s truly a game-changer. The 3D body scans are incredibly accurate, and the visual models make it easy to track subtle changes in my body shape over time. As a personal trainer, I know the importance of having a reliable tool to measure my clients’ progress. The app is great because it’s seamless, extremely detailed,
and user-friendly.

My favorite part of the scan and app is the posture analysis. I knew I had a slight right hip shift, but it blew my mind when it showed the exact inches. It’s incredible! I can’t wait for all of my clients to try it.
