Please update the app

Please update the app. It’s so frustrating when you move and want to calibrate the sub.

Very disappointed in Elac

I have convinced 10-12 friends to buy Elac speakers. Elac is a company that usually makes outstanding speakers for the money.

But letting their app that controls their subs become 100% broken? That’s a horrific way to treat their customers. Unforgivable.

A note to the execs at Elac weighing the pros and cons of letting this app stay obsolete... please be aware that it it is not just the owners of your subs that you’re screwing over. You’re screwing over your own reputation. You’re completely, irreparably, permanently turning unabashed Elac fans like me against you. As long as this remains unfixed, I won’t be buying or recommending Elacs to anyone. I’ll be doing the opposite.

Unfortunate

I wish I had read these reviews before buying this amp, the app doesn’t work properly, it kicks me out at every option I choose. Quite frustrating.
How long is this sub going to work is everybody’s guess at this point. Poor quality work!

frustrated

how come a product I purchased about 18 months ago is no longer supported by the manufacturer. since last big Iphone update the app is no longer working!!! this is unacceptable.

No longer functional

I can no longer connect to my sub using this app or when trying the new app. I have the EQ10. As such, I no longer am able to control any functionality of the subwoofer :(

Doesn’t work with iOS 13

Great app it just doesn’t work with ios13

No longer works.

Basically you buy a sub woofer from a reputed company. After a short time they stop updating the app. Thus your hardware is now ready for dumpster. To be honest I like Elac equipment but my experience with these subs and the lack of app support probably means I made a mistake.

Won’t open anymore

Used to work but now just shows a grey screen on my phone.

Doesn’t work on iOS 13!!!!

Please fix this. The subwoofer is useless without this app.

No longer works with IOS update

With the new update to IOS it completely stopped working. Not sure what to do with my new paperweight that used to work so well.....

Where’s the update

Come on Elac, update the app so that I can continue to control my sub.

Any News On An Update?

Since IOS 13 like others have said, the app no longer functions! Anyone have any news on this being fixed? Like one person said my sub woofer can no longer be controlled and that’s a shame. I just have a $300 paper weight until this gets fixed.

No Longer Works in iOS13

This app no longer works in iOS13. If you own an S10EQ or S12EQ (which were being sold in stores up until about 16 months ago) and you have upgraded to iOS13, congratulations! You can no longer change the volume on your subwoofer.

Sub control 1.13

Please upgrade your app for IOS 13.1,2 the app does not work.

No support

Elac has frustrated its core Debut Series customers by abandoning firmware support for the S10/12 subwoofer which are only 4 years old. $1000CAD sub with a blank screen on this app is inexcusable. These subs rely solely on the app for control as there are no knobs or buttons on the sub itself. Are we supposed to throw these subs in the trash after a few years?

Issues with IOS 13

The app is not working with the new IOS 13. Can you fix this quickly.

No longer functions

No longer functions at all in iOS 13.

Not iOS 13 compatible

App hasn’t been updated in years, connectivity is spotty at best, parametric EQ is difficult to use. But worst of all is the app is not iOS 13 compatible, which means my S12EQ is now obsolete. Elac should have never released an app based control system if they didn’t plan to support it beyond the 1 year sub warranty.

iOS 13 made this App stop working!

Prior to the iOS 13 update, this Sub Control worked great, but now, it doesn’t work at all!! I contacted Elac last week about this, they got back to me & said they have a fix for this, but, we’re still waiting for Elac to give us this update/fix!! BTW, Elac hasn’t done an update for this App in 3 years. Anyway, please fix this issue so that we can all get back to enjoying those incredible sounding Elac speakers & subs!!!

Does not work with iOS 13!

With the iOS 13 update that just took place, the Sub Control app is no longer functional. Without the app, you can not even adjust the volume of the sub, let alone run the auto-EQ or make any other adjustments.

Support for this app has been non existent for several years, but at least it ran up to iOS 12.

If you have this app, you should not upgrade to iOS 13 until this gets fixed (if it gets fixed).
