SubManager User Reviews

Gets to the point: Subscriptions! And a feature request: Tags!

I would like to see “Tags” in this app, an alternative way to organize/filter through your subscriptions besides Categories. For example, I’d like to add a #FamilySharing tag to all my apps that support it, but those apps often exist in different categories so it is hard to keep track of which apps have family sharing or whatever other feature that may be important like #Development #Study #Work it would just be great to have Tags system introduced into this! If you are looking for good implementations of a Tags system, check out UpNote or Noted. That could provide some inspiration. Thank you so much for creating this useful app at a fair price, I bought the family premium SubManager!

Hi, thanks for the positive review! I have plans to implement tags in a future update. Stay tuned!

Great Tracking App

This app has been such a blessing in helping me track all of my active subscriptions. The only thing that would be great to have on the app is maybe a Pause option on the active subscriptions.

Response from developer

Hi, thank you so much for your review! I’m planning to add a pause button in a future update. Thanks again for the suggestion!

Awesome

Not only is it an excellent subscription tracking app, but it's also the only app for tracking subscriptions with a one-time purchase and available on all Apple devices. Would you really want to be managing your finances on a tiny device in your hand? No, you want to do it on your Mac, like a serious human.

Useful app!

Simple to use, very useful to keep track of my subscription.
I like there is a list of existing services to choose from, very handy indeed!

Great App: One Key Feature has Limitations

SubManager is one of the best apps for tracking subscriptions. The main shortfall for me is the very manual way item icons have to be added when an app or service is not found in SubManagers list (which is quite often). A competitor subscription manager is somehow able to quickly find every app or service I’ve ever thrown at it along with it’s icon.

Hi, I'm happy to let you know that I have recently introduced the ability to search icons on the App Store with version 1.8. Thanks again for your feedback.

Works as advertised!

I tried two other subscription reminder apps before this one. This was by far, the best one IMHO. All features work, including notifications. The free version of this app is awesome, but paying the one time upgrade is icing on the cake. Adds a few features and thanks the developer for the great app.

Easy to use!

Worth the in-app purchase for full control. Love the simple look and how easy everything is to understand and navigate.

Beautiful and feature rich

This has become a much improved replacement for Chronicle for me. I have been using this app for several months to track all sorts of recurring payments, not just for subscriptions but also for bills, insurance premiums, and instalments.

It comes with icons for many subscription services but allows you to add custom icons. For services and apps that are missing icons, you can create or link icons. This results in a very visually attractive display of all your recurring payments and subscriptions.

There is an insights feature which provides all sorts of reports on your monthly and annual spending. I do find that it is missing a trend or budgeting report which just averages out all my outflow for a specific category for a month or year. For example, it will tell me how much I will spend on the streaming category this month, but then that will not include any streaming subscriptions I pay annually for. I just want it to take into account all my annual and monthly streaming subscriptions and give me a number that I spend X amount on streaming every month with current subscriptions.

I also love that it does provide capabilities for tracking payment methods (so you know which services need billing updated when you cancel a credit card).

Some other cool features are that it can track lifetime and expired subscriptions.

Highly recommend this beautiful indie app.

Worth the $5 in-app purchase!

Clean and easy to use. Makes payment reminders easier to remember.

Very useful app

Taken a bit of time to input everything but quite scary to see total spend! App is easy to use and the developer is very responsive to queries

Excellent app to track subs of all sorts

Not quite finished yet but very good for tracking the myriad of subscriptions. The developer keeps updating and adding features. I think this will be very good.👍

It’s fire no cap

Nice and helpful

I’m on the free plan and the reminders are very handy. I’m sure the premium features would make it more useful, but it’s a nicely thought out app. Good for knowing what you have coming up

Super sub manager

Useful, simple and well worth the plus update just to support this great and attentive developer.

Excellent

This app has been well thought out. It is a joy to use, quick and easy. No log in, no signups, no pop- up ads, no junk! If you are looking for something a bit more robust (though not needed imo) they do offer a Plus version for a small one-time lifetime fee). If you are looking for that one app that keeps track of your subscriptions and does it well, get this. Developers: Keep up the good work.

Fantastic app for tracking subscription costs

SubManager is an essential app for my finances. It makes it easy to understand all the subscription charges I’m accruing over time. If you can invest a bit of time setting up all your charges, then SubManager will make tracking easy.

Multi-currency support is very convenient

Wish there is an option to display converted local currency or both the original currency and local currency in upcoming payment notification.

Super useful subscriptions tracker

Intuitive UI and useful tracker for subscriptions. Plus the developer is very responsive to suggestions and bug reports. Plus, the one time payment is a no brainer.

Great App

Amazing App to keep track of my subscriptions

I really like this app it’s the best one I’ve found for what I need so far but…

It seems to have a bug, it’s telling me the total amount of all the subscriptions is more then it is and by a high amount, also can you please add an option to say how long you want subscriptions to be active for and then auto expire as that would be really useful too and also the expired option in the app doesn’t work or if it does it doesn’t make sense as if I activate that and put say 3 months later in the date it still moves the subscriptions to expired then instead of when I set the expiry date to which is what would make sense for it to do.

Response from developer

Hi, If the expiry date is in the future, it should indicate that the subscription will expire on that date and provide the option to receive a notification before it expires. Regarding the total amount bug, please email me at mail@ahnafmahmud.com with the amount you’re expecting to see compared to the amount displayed in the app.
