this is a great app

nobody does it better. the haptics are a little excessive in my opinion and I would appreciate an option to turn them off

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback. You can already turn off haptic feedback by tapping the Menu ("...") Button, then tap Settings, and scrolling down to the "Haptic feedback on update" toggle under "Map Settings."

Best subway map by far

This could be better than the MTA app it self. Couldn’t recommend it enough.

The best app for *accurate* subway tracking

No other app so consistently shows proper weekend and overnight reroutes and random service disruptions. It always knows how the trains are ACTUALLY running.

My favorite feature is being able to see upcoming train departures at any station relative to the train I’m already on. So I can decide where to transfer or IF to transfer, especially when I’m in a rush.

perfect

out of any app i’ve tried, this one gives the most useful information about nyc subways the quickest.

How it started vs now

This app is no better than google maps at this point. Regularly behind schedule by 1-2’ which is everything when trains run once every 10-15’ in the early morning. What was once a saving grace is now an unreliable menace. I’ve been using this app for about a year and can honestly say you’re better off just winging it

Response from developer

Hey, thanks for the feedback, I’m sorry to hear that you’ve found the app’s data to be less than reliable. I would like to work with you to investigate how to do better. If you don’t mind, please send me an email at ios@theweekendest.com on where you’ve noticed this.

Outperforms every other transit app for New York

I cannot stress how useful this app has been when I’m trying to figure out when trains are actually going to make it to the station! The MTA app, Citymapper and google maps pale in comparison in terms of accuracy!

The top transit app out there

I’ve been waiting for this app for a while, and its finally here, an app that does everything. It covers all the essentials, accurate timing, useful map, and quick to reference. But my favorite feature has to be the transfer estimate which always has me taking the quickest combination of trains. Love it

One of the best NYC subway maps

I love to see where the train is located. Would be cool if they make a NYC bus app maybe one day. I’m hopeful. You guys made a better app than the MTA themselves not gonna lie.

Makes riding the subway so much better!

Being able to see exactly where your train is minute by minute is unbeatable. I know of no other app that can do the same thing, and the subscription fee is minimal.

Transit Warrior’s Dream

Tasks that would take about 50 taps between multiple apps now take 1! Bravo Sunny. Excited for future updates!

great site and app

been using it since soon after it was first created

Best transit app

Saw a posting on reddit about it. Then saw an article in one if the local papers. Im sitting on train now and want to know which stop to transfer at so I downloaded it. This app is best transit app the city has ever seen. Is the M train coming in three minutes or thirty? This app will tell you!

Finally a live Subway map!!

I wished the MTA app had this feature. This app is cool and I can really know where the trains are and what is causing delays. Plz make this app available to macOS.

Great new subway app!

Such a welcome addition to NYC transit apps! Clean & functional with a well-designed interface—love the changes to the map based on disruptions/planned work.

Finally!

It’s so great to have live train data on my phone. The app does a great job utilizing space to display a lot of information. Excited to start using this as part of my regular traveling routine!

Super helpful and beautifully designed

I love the information stream and the interface is quite clean, definitely seeing myself using this for a long time

Super helpful for weekend subway travel

MTA has planned weekend and night service and this helped me find an easy way home when Google Maps was telling me to do all sorts of funny business. Saved 15 minutes of walking in the rain!

Best app for daily commutes

and when the subway system is a mess (most of the time!)

Extremely useful and detailed timesaver

The Weekendest has saved me so much time with its detailed train position and arrival time features. Because of this app, I had the information needed to hustle to my train or make a connecting transfer, before a gap in service. The app is easy to use and gives me the info I need to travel quickly and smartly. Five stars, very well deserved!
