Deleted their loyalty program without warning
Summit used to have a loyalty program under which you’d scan a QR code and accumulate points. They updated the app and removed the loyalty program without warning. I feel cheated.
Charge for app?
Tried this place out off of a recommendation. After I checkout with the app, I see I get hit with a .25 cent app fee. This is after I already tipped someone I will never talk with.
I’d imagine I saved this place the .25 in labor by using the app. Oh well. Back to 77 Grounds.

Bad App
The app requires a phone number. There’s no need to require my phone number if you already have my email. There’s no need fact that the account for the website doesn’t connect to the app is ridiculous. The app is clunky and overall poor UI.
Great Beans
Nice staff, creative drinks and awesome coffee beans. You also get a free cup of coffee with any beans purchase. Love that.

Difficult Gift Card Purchase
The website led me to the app to buy a gift card less than $50 and then there was no section in the app to buy a gift card. The overall app seems nice but it would good to have a clear option for gift cards.

Very easy to use!! I can place orders, view past orders, and see my current reward status. Great app for my FAVORITE coffee 😍
Login Troubles
Despite the fact that I am logged in on the website, the app continues to tell me that my password is wrong. I tried creating an account directly from the app but it requires a phone number and it won’t accept a Google number. Clearly they need to harvest our data because otherwise an email address would be fine. Bummer.

A phenomenal addition.
Summit coffee is my new go-to, for so many reasons. For starters, the coffee is great. I also think the GM Josie is incredible. She’s attentive, kind, a hard worker and know’s her customers. It’s hard to find good people but Josie, and the rest of her team were smart hires. You can tell they like each other.
When it comes to what if, there’s so much opportunity to do great community building things with Summit Coffee. It’s a slow build but I’m a fan and plan to hang with you all throughout the journey.

Checkout is broken
Checkout hasn’t worked in the last 2 weeks; neither Apple Pay nor directly paying with a credit card works. Both just return “The pricing for your order could not be verified. Please try again or contact the store to place your order.”
Very glitchy app
QA team needs to be fired. New customer flow gets the app stuck. Had to try go back multiple times to charge. Why the heck is there a convenience fee to order coffee.
What a terrible app
First off, you can’t even order off the app. The app cannot find a store and will stay in a loading screen. Second, you can’t even add a method of payment because you need to add a billing address and when you try to enter said address, it asks you to select from the list of suggested addresses which doesn’t exist. Absolutely terrible UI.

It’s always the best coffee, served by the friendliest staff at Foundation in Asheville. I can’t say enough good things about Summit!
Invasive of privacy
Couldn’t sign up because they require a phone number, and won’t accept a Google Voice number which is all I’m comfortable giving.
There’s no reason a coffee shop should require I give up my personal phone. Tired of companies feeling they’re entitled to our personal information.

Summit in Birkdale is amazing!
I can’t say enough wonderful things about Summit coffee in Birkdale. The team is absolutely amazing and the coffee is outstanding. The location is so convenient and the atmosphere is so cozy and friendly inside!
