On top of Mercator projection, it also includes Azimuthal, Mollweide, Equirectangular, and importantly Orthographic.
Well worth its reasonable price-recommended for radio-wave propagation purposes too.

Having friends and relatives across America and the world, I love the way this app so clearly shows which parts of the world are in sunlight and which are not. It is one of my favorite apps.
Useless - won't load
Bought this app because I thought it looked good in the app store. However, after tapping it's icon, it flashes a global map very briefly (max 1 second) and then crashes back to the home screen.
Neither deleting and reinstalling the app nor rebooting the iPad makes any difference. Contacted the developer to ask for advice, but no reply so far.
Waste of money at the moment - avoid until fixed !!

Cannot get to complete open. Consistently crashes after about 1/2 second.

Downloaded app. Re-installed it twice. Sent two e-mails requesting assistance. No response. It's been nearly 2 weeks. Un-happily this app is not functional. Be aware. / 31 jan. 2013 up-date: sadly, still nothing.
