Great News Source

Often has a leftist bent (unfortunately) so I seek other sources as well, but otherwise covers many topics and areas of interest.

Why you cannot fix this?

It has been more than one months since the app stop working. Article and sections cannot be open. It is a hit and missed each time.

Slanted view of things

Most of the articles in the Sun Sentinel don’t report the news the articles slant the news with their liberal views. Stop it.

Intrusive Ads

This app has so bad intrusive Ads. While I enjoy the content, the app itself has me frustrated. While reading a story and scrolling down, an AD will auto trigger and redirect me out of the app to a safari window for that AD. How obnoxious.

App goes from bad to worse

This app is terrible. Whenever you change pages it resets to the last article of the main page. Additionally, most stories stay on the front age for weeks at a time, nothing new.

Bias

SS is very bias . Always bashing the same people and extremely left wing politics . Weird , since it’s a Red State

Still can’t find games

Even with the latest update I can’t find games. I can’t even find them with the search. Advice is also a painf to find. Not enough local news. No coverage of sailing in an area with multiple yacht clubs and Olympic and other world famous sailors.

Awful digital

Sun Sentinel keeps changing the digital. I can no longer read from page to page. I had to switch to digital from paper delivery because the carrier missed my delivery almost once a week. I hate the digital so much that I’m tempted to switch to the Miami paper, even though I live in Fort Lauderdale.

A good idea, with poor attention to detail

I like the flow of the app, and that the font used for articles that are expanded was changed. Much more readable. However, while paging through the paper, some pages come up blank. I have to close the app, and reopen the edition to read it. This happens frequently.
Another issue is the comics page - when clicking on a comic , it expands well beyond the boundaries of the viewing window. This happens for both single and multi-panel comics, as well as for the daily and Sunday editions. The only option is to zoom the whole page to read the comic.

New Format

The new digital paper is all messed up.

New page format

The Sun Sentinel recently changed the page format. With change you can see the whole page but much smaller so scrolling is unnecessary . I prefer the old format.

Desaster

What it going with that news paper ?
I want the other version back.this is not what I paid for

Searching the Sun Sentinel is tough

Almost always, entering a search string on my iPhone version of the Sun Sentinel can’t find the same article that I’m staring at on my desktop computer screen. Very frustrating.

Ads with my Subscription

I believe in journalism. I believe in supporting journalism. When there are 1000 alternatives, alienating your digital customers will lead to reduced subscribers, probably

*This just in, print publications are shedding subscribers and failing to deliver on a next gen offering for tech savvy news readers.

Good read. Difficult navigation

I read the paper on an iPad. Enjoy it. But get duplicate pages all the time

Fine, except when you’re traveling

The digital edition of the paper is slow to load when I’m home and have fast internet. When I’m traveling it’s so slow to load that I just give up. And when traveling the articles in the app won’t load because I’m out of the country. I get “unable to load this content” error messages. Not a problem with the NYT app or Local 10 app.

Constantly have to enter password

Don’t understand why I have to password every article even though I have a subscription

This is a Terrible App

The app does not function properly. The contact information they provide in the app does not work. When I talked to a customer service person they had a Pilipino accent and was unable to fix the problem…I’m responding to the suggestion that I get in touch with the team in a email they claim I need to contact Apple for any assistance. My response was that Apple through a supervisor says that they’re only the subscription bill collector they don’t do technical support for the App. This situation is unprofessional.

The Sun-Sentinel constantly slams the Republican Party.

The Sun-Sentinel is constantly slamming Ron DeSantis and Trump. Nobody cares about your political opinion. You should report the facts and stay neutral. It’s very obvious the Dems haven’t learned their lessen from the blowout Presidential election. Until you change your views, you’re going to keep dragging our country down.

Terrible

Even though I am signed in, it won’t let me read subscriber only I articles. Not worth the money if all I can read are the headlines. I’ll stick with the real papers: WaPo,NYT.
