No damn good
This app worked fine when I first installed it. Now though, the payment fails, it can’t find the gas station im literally standing at. The $.03 savings isn’t worth the trouble, I’ll go elsewhere

This app is just plain awful. It no longer takes my Sunoco card or any major credit cards. I’m left with only Apple Pay. And that’s not working either. This app is worthless to me. I’m deleting it. When I contacted customer service it took them over three weeks to respond to me and told me that everything was no longer available. That I could no longer add a card to my app. Again, what’s the point of the app if I can’t use it to save money and have my card attached so that I don’t have to carry a credit card.

Can’t login
After reinstalling the app onto my phone I can’t login. It only allows for phone number logins and wants to send a code but I never receive the code. They tried telling me it’s a carrier issue but went over everything with the carrier and there are no carrier blocks. Tempted to just cancel everything Sunoco related at this point because their customer support is useless

Can’t add Sunoco Rewards Card
Have been trying to add Sunoco credit card to this app for years! Never works! Try coming back every now and then, nothing! It’s a piece of literal bloat! And nobody responds to messages of any kind, ever! Terrible!
Not usable
The app is effectively unusable to me as a new user. There are two issues that block me from using it.
1) I can’t verify my email. I can send the code, but when I go to my email to get it then back to the app, the app resets to the home screen.
2) I can’t add a payment method. When I click through ‘add a payment method’, I get prompted for Face ID or passcode. I authenticate, but the app again just resets to the home screen.

Their app glitched, they confirmed it and still will not credit me what is owed. Scammers!!!! I will delete and go to another company that sells top tier.

I have my bank account set up on the app aswell as Sunoco rewards. Almost every single time I go to get gas at Sunoco, it doesn’t verify my rewards nor will it let me use my bank account. I keep having to remove my BA and add it in a week later for it to work one time. Then the next time I go and use it, it doesn’t work again. I just used my credit card which is on the Sunoco app and it didn’t give me my 3 cents off a gallon. Glitchy as hell, do not recommend

Spoofing and Hacks: Researchers have demonstrated that biometric sensors can be fooled by 3D-printed heads, high-resolution photos, or "masterprints" (synthetic prints that match many people).
UPDATE to DEVELOPER: you seem to have your facts wrong. Apple iOS does not require biometrics to be enabled at the system level. I have biometrics completely off with no Face ID ever recorded on my phone, and I can still access all my financial payment apps & every major CC and banking app with a passcode. Sunoco is the ONLY one that is the problem. Even apple wallet is done with a passcode and no FaceId. Your arguments hold no water.

Thanks for sharing your perspective. We’d like to clarify how authentication works in our app. For security reasons, iOS requires biometrics to be enabled at the system level to access the device passcode fallback. When biometrics are enabled, users can always authenticate by intentionally failing Face ID or Touch ID and then entering their device passcode. Our app does not collect, store, or access biometric data. All authentication is handled entirely by iOS using Apple’s secure system APIs. Biometrics (with passcode fallback) are used only to authorize payment related actions, such as adding or editing a payment method, paying at the pump, or paying inside the store. Biometric data never leaves the device and is never available to us. This approach ensures that sensitive payment actions are protected by Apple’s platform level security.

No CarPlay. Really?
It would be so convenient to choose my pump and pay through CarPlay. Losing two states for that.
Took an Okay app and made it worse
I too have had numerous issues getting the glitchy app to work. At some point it began demanding Face ID in order to use the app, which I absolutely will not do because of security issues. So I guess I’ll be getting my gas elsewhere. Too bad, as my car really performs well with Sunoco gas.
