Setup and commissioning
These PVS6 devices are the most annoying thing in solar. It’s less than 33% chance that commissioning and setup goes smoothly. I often times have issues just connecting to the PVS6, even when my phone is connected to the WiFi and paired over Bluetooth. Very annoying when I have the same issue on one site with 2 different PVS6’s new out of the box.

Hot Garbage
Worst software in the business. Over an hour on-site ON AVERAGE just to establish communication with a homeowners wifi. If you call tech support it’s usually someone who has no idea what they’re actually doing, just reading from bullet point list of steps that I’m convinced is just to designed to make your blood boil. The server transfer that occurred over the summer majorly screwed up data collection for an extended period of time. I don’t know where they hire their engineers from. I’d give it negative 5 stars if I could, and all the 5 star reviews must be SunPower employees. Sunpower makes me want to choose a new profession.

App gives u no option to add in model information for roof devices leading to not being able to submit configuration. Needs to improve
Constantly Improving
The Pro Connect Commissioning Application has improved drastically over the last 6+ months.
Connection to Pvs6 , wifi strength, commissioning times all have improved.
I recommend rating your experience with comments in the app , the developers are watching and want the feedback.

Best solar installation app
Does it seamless for me most of the time. Mostly thrilled by the fact that, whenever an issue is supposed to block the installation, I always get to see an available update that has addressed it. Great team working behind this app!
Classic SunPower: good products ruined by bad software
We’ve been a SunPower dealer for over 10 years but this new app has been nothing but headaches.
I have to delete and redownload the app to get through commissioning almost every time. Also, the app makes me change my password weekly which then promptly gets rejected by the app. It takes a 35 minute phone call in which I am transferred to 2 different departments, normal tech support cannot help you, in order to get logged back in. Even after working with the account services team to fix the login, it takes 15 minutes for the app to accept the new, reset login credentials. Bring a good book to read while doing all this waiting....
The final straw for me was sunsetting the old commissioning portal before fully fixing the app. If the app isn’t working—like most of the time—you’re not getting the system on or commissioned. That makes for happy customers...
SunPower uses Enphase microinverters which can be purchased without a dealer directly from Enphase for less money. Their app and tech support are by far better both in form and function.

App doesnt work
After attempting to log in, it always says page expired and I have to delete and re download the app to try again. Tech support keeps saying theres no known issues with the app and cant help me log in. Hours of phone calls and attempted log ins and still nothing.
Getting better and better
This app is so much better than the old laptop commissioning. It takes some learning to know how to use it, and I still run into issues now and then, but it’s such an improvement over the old way that I’m willing to deal with a few minor bugs.
I love that I don’t have to carry a laptop around anymore. Also seems like they update this app way more often than the old one - I feel like there’s new improvements every few weeks.

This app hardly works
This app only works 20% of the time is a piece of junk. As a business we waste countless hours trying to make this work.
This App will put SP ahead against competitors
Having an App to commission is the way to go in these days, all functionalities are well developed and really fun using it.

App is always crashing. I have to use my phone to access customer information but every time I leave the app to get customer information the app just completely crashes I have to write down physically every information that I need in order for the apps and a crash because I can’t go to any other windows. For whatever reason the app never keeps me logged in I always have to re-enter my password wasting time on the job site. If I’m not using sunpowerconsole and I’m not using sun power Profleet connect and I should have a wealth of information on this app. The issue is if I’m trying to diagnose something and I have to go between Profleet connect and my phone I can’t get the information. That I have to call tech-support and get more information. Most of the buttons don’t show that they’re ready or say continue they just still load but actually they’re ready to be pushed to the next step. If another site or another home has claimed mi I should be able to delete them off another side road from my phone. I don’t know if this is a Sunpower trying to save money by not using laptops and making people use their own personal phones. Anytime you click the back button it loses the address and you have to re-enter the address.

This app is absolutely awful. They really need the fix this app. The Sunpower Console was not broken. Why try to fix it?
Unusable - Not ready for April
I’ve only gotten the app to function correctly a handful of times. It’s March and the firmware popup is still there and sometimes prevents commissioning fullstop as I can’t get past the address screen. Other issues are the grid profiles. Sometimes nothing appears and I cannot proceed or finish. Restarting, power cycling, or anything else does not solve this. Finally there is the email sent to the customer. This sometimes does not work at all. When I type in the customers email and hit send it just takes me back to type in the email again and never sends the email.
So many bugs and glitches I have just resorted to using the older console to commission. Works perfect and doesn’t take that much longe, sometimes faster.

App paralyzed by firmware update
Seconds after downloading the app I get an endless pop up “Attention Firmware download failed. Please try again.” The error pops up every 2-3 seconds and cannot be cleared.
It appears to be for the SunVault firmware, which my company doesn’t install anyway. No option to turn off updates or get around this error.
Not surprisingly, SunPower tech support had no information on the app, which they had vaguely heard of.
Can I just use the Enphase commissioning app instead?

Firmware fails to download
Can’t get the firmware update to download, keeps giving me a failed to download, try again pop up. Locks out the entire app.
