I never review anything, but this app deserves it. I use it numerous times a day. Even the free version is great.
Amazing
This app is by far the best Sun prediction app I’ve ever used. Hats off to the developer for killing it with this update! As a landscape photographer, this app is as important to me as my tripod. Looking forward to using the new update. 💪🏻🙌🏻

Excellent App! But One Issue…
This is one of the best apps for sunrise and sunset for photography for the iPhone and iPad! Love how it factors in all of the aspects of the weather and location! I wish that I could say this for Apple TV 4K. The app loses my location after the recent update. Now all I have is questions of why it’s not factoring in. I don’t get this glitch in Apple TV 4K. Please help!

A great help
Easy to use and a help when planning photography
Started off good
I’ve used this app for a long time. It use to be fairly accurate. After a few recent updates it hasn’t been accurate at all. Disappointing. As a photographer it was a good tool to have. Now I’m using apps like SkyCandy to get information.

Useless
Predictions are never accurate. Right now my location shows 85% at sunrise and it’s so overcast and cloudy that zero sun is coming through. Typical for this app. Total garbage.
Grate for photographers
I have it set to just tell me when the sunrise and sunset are going to be good let’s me know days before makes it so easy to know when it’s actually worth getting up early
Worst sunrise app ever
Complete scam- I want my money money, refused. This app is not accurate- in any way. I asked for a refund- but my money had already been taken for the year ahead, the information given is incorrect and unreliable- really disappointed and disgusted
Useless in the UK
This app just isn’t accurate. In fact, it’s appalling inaccurate.
Tonight for example, my area is showing 77% great sunset. Yet outside it’s raining and cloudy.
I’ve had other days when it says poor, only to see stunning sunsets from my house that I could have been out in the hills enjoying.
Do not rely on this app. It seems to contradict other services which are generally more accurate for the uk.

My Go-to for Sunset predictions
I love this app. I have no recollection as to how I stumbled onto this app but it was a god-send. I love how accurate this is to predict sunsets and sunrises. I've had multiple memorable sunsets thanks to this app. I've been using the free version for so long, I considered getting the full version on the 10th anniversary! Kudos to the dev!

Klasse, wie die App weiter entwickelt wurde. Habe gerne Pro Lifetime gekauft. Neben den vorhergesagten Lichtverhältnissen gibt es jetzt auch eine zeitlich längere Prognose und zu den einzelnen Sonnenstadien jeweils auch die Wetteraussichten. Also auch für Sternengucker erste Wahl. Danke, Andrew!

Thanks for the review. Alpenglow doesn't focus on Sun position, although I do have the map. The main focus is the forecasting and that is the primary focus. I'll have more features centered around this functionality out in the coming months along with more details around what a particular percentage means, I agree that could be clearer. Glad you've found an app suitable for your needs!
Don’t waste your money they use paid reviews
Like many of you I was in intrigued with this app, however even if you use the paid yearly subscription the location data is wildly inaccurate the widgets tell incorrect time for blue hour, golden hour etc, this app is a waste of space and money. Don’t infect your phone with this app save your money look elsewhere.

Completely inaccurate
Don’t know where it thought I was but the good/great sunsets were no different than the fair to bad. In fact some fair nights were excellent and some great nights were meh. I’d hard pass on this If you’re using it for photography, it is not based on fact whatsoever.
Nice companion
This app is a nice little companion to help me with determining whether or not I’m going to spend the time driving over an hour each way to capture a sunrise or sunset. The higher the %, the more likely I’m going to go. I do understand the app’s limitations based off of the ever changing weather, it does help me out a lot.

Update to my review a few months ago
This an update to my review a few months ago. It appears the watch complication issue has now been fully resolved as this updates perfectly with the upcoming sunrise or sunset. The app is wonderful, I have used the prediction of the day to plan out a blue hour sunset photoshoot recently thanks to the free app. Great app thank you
