The right motives but...

Has incorrect and outdated health advice. Recommending lowfat yogurt is just plain stupid and an old myth that was debunked years ago. Your brain needs cholesterol and so does the rest of your body.

please do more research

I completely disagree with flaxseed and soy as a superfood. Please do more research before you tell people that these are healthy. Phytoestrogens are not healthy. They are the worst possible choices when you are high risk for cancer like breast cancer. Phytoestrogens mimic bad estrogen and should be avoided at all cosy. Its extremely easy to do an internet search on estrogen dominance and phytoestrogens.

Good effort, but...

Unless you mention distinctions like organic, non-gmo, and tips to avoid seafood and foods from the west coast because of Fukushima, then you're not quite spreading all of the important details around that this app definitely has the potential to do. Blueberries produced from Monsanto seeds will do more harm than good. This is not a conspiracy theory, this is a fact.

No Moringa?

You would think a "super foods" app would have the Miracle Tree (Moringa) in it. But no. Fail.

Useful!

Very simple to use with clear and concise information that's actually very helpful!

App that makes sense.

Small download. Well written. Nice simple UI which is very easy to understand. Lots of very good healthy information here! Tested under iOS 7. Highly recommended. 5 stars on this one :)

Recipes all cut short

Hi, all your recipes are cut short for some reason. Please fix so I can read the entire recipe. Otherwise a great app

Needs Polishing

I have read the books and enjoyed the information in the app; however, I was quite surprised at the large number of grammatical errors. It seems an editor is in order.

Just like the online content

This is exactly what I was expecting and what I wanted. It would be great if it included recipes, but I mostly just wanted the information at my fingertips. I'd give it five stars if it were free, seeing as it is identical to the free online content.

Not what I expected...

I LOVED the SuperFoods Rx Diet book! I expected this app would have some (or all) of the recipes included in the book to make my shopping easier. No such luck in this version. I'd be happy to change my rating to 5 stars if they include recipes and weekly plans in the update.

Good, but...

It has a bit of information, especially if you've not read the books, but it could do a little more. Maybe have the food pyramid as a tab or tell you how many serving are recommended per day/week in the subsections. Hopefully subsequent versions will really pack in the info!

It's ok hopefully they will add functionality

Let me start by saying I am a HUGE fan of dr. Pratt's work. It seriously changed the way I look at food.

Imo The first book was a call to revolution. With it I remodelled my diet and took control of my nutrition.

That said, I must address this app, I applaud it's birth and hope it's struggle through infancy will be brief.

Essentially, it's just a summary. No studies, no "eat this much per day" style guidence, that made the books GREAT. Beyond the sum up (well organized btw) I can't understand why I would have this on my iPhone. I've read the books. Presumably we all have, 1.99 is a bit of a gamble in the dark for an iPhone app.

Recipes or any type of interaction/aid in keeping the essential foods on the tip of our tounges is sorely needed for this app to be usefull.

I have loved your work so far, but I'm not thrilled with your app in it's present state.

Update

I loved the superfoods book and was excited for the app. But it does need an update it is very basic. A shopping guide and recipes would be very helpful if they were included in this app. Please please update soon!

Not what I expected

At first I thought it was great to have an app with info at my fingertips that I could easily share with my friends.
I think that much of it's content could have been copy pasted from the Internet.
Whatever happened to acai, watercress, ouanges, sprouts, sea vegetables, buckwheat, leeks and barley? I know it's only 2.00 but let's get an upgrade going. I would only recommend this to a complete newbie. My two stars stay until the upgrade comes out.

Super App

I was first introduced to SuperFoods while staying at a Westin Hotel. Couldn't believe they have an app -- love the "in the kitchen" section -- gives great ideas how to incorporate to my rotation of both home and restaurant meals.

Very neat

Have been looking for something like this. Very nice and I love most of these foods.

businessman

This app is cool and answers lots of questions as to what super foods are and their health content.
