Misleading Subscription System
This app has a confusing subscription system with multiple plans. I thought I had canceled my subscription, but I only canceled the yearly plan and was still being charged for the monthly plan. That kind of setup is misleading and makes it far too easy for users to continue paying unintentionally. Apps with confusing subscription practices like this should not be allowed on the platform.

Be warned billing is a scam
Be aware that even if you pay for the subscription initially through the App Store, they automatically enroll you in additional subscriptions that have to be cancelled via the website. Cancelling through the App Store doesn’t make a difference and they’ll hit you for $80 in additional subscriptions even if you cancel through the App Store before the trial period is up. Total scam.

They mislead you. Charged my account $39.99 a month, 3 times, and wouldn’t let me cancel my subscriptions. Had to call my bank to report the fraudulent charges. That’s not even what I signed up for. Disgusting. Worthless app and stories.

Complete Scam
Signed up for free trial and after exploring the app I decided to cancel the trial subscription. Found out later (similar to others) I had been signed up for two different subscriptions despite getting confirmations they were cancelled. Took 3 emails to get a response from the support team and then 4 more emails repeatedly asking for a refund which I should not have had to do given the fact that I cancelled the trial subscription. This company is a scam and is not in line with Buddhist teachings.

Overcharged multiple times within a week when I signed up for 1 x monthly charges. No response from support and unable to cancel with bank and only option is to cancel card as cannot get explanation or refund. Really poor service.

I canceled my subscription in May, with a cancellation date of May 31. Was charged again in June with a new cancellation date of July 31st.

I would rate them negative if possible. Their billing practices are misleading and they will continue to bill you once you cancel. Worst Ponzi scheme EVER!!

I strongly advise people to stay away from Durara. Not only is it incredibly expensive for what it offers, but I also experienced what I consider to be unacceptable billing practices.
I cancelled my subscription, yet my account was reactivated without my knowledge or consent—not once, but twice. Each time I was charged approximately $40 USD despite having already cancelled. Having to dispute unauthorized charges is frustrating, time-consuming, and completely undermines any trust I had in this company.
Whether this is due to incompetence or something more concerning, consumers should be extremely cautious. No company should reactivate a cancelled subscription and charge customers without their explicit authorization. I will never use this service again and cannot recommend it to anyone.

I tried purchasing the subscription but the text at the bottom blocks the continue button and i cant get past the screen because of it. I recommend fixing the screen so the button is more accessible.
A rip off
I clicked on an add on instagram and they claimed a 6 day money back guarantee. I clicked ok and didn’t like the app. I cancelled it same day and now I have been charged $39.99 twice!! This feels like a scam and it’s so crazy it comes in the form of Buddhism. The app definitely uses AI for the voice and the stories aren’t that great. Give me money back please!! All $60 you took!

I signed up for a 1 month trial at $6.99, but was billed for the $6.99 AND billed $29.99 for a full year. I have attempted several times to get the $29.99 refunded but no luck. This from a “BUDDHIST” company.
