Its never give live view always browsing

This system rarely works. Hard to use I have never been happy with it.

The last few weeks my cameras have not recorded any motion detections at all so not really doing the job I paid for…
Unusable
This app used to be great but now it’s unusable. Playback is impossible and never works. Very very slow. If I get an alert for motion detected i cant see whats happening because the playback feature just doesn’t work.

Cannot access cameras anymore while on cellular. It’s been three weeks now since I’ve been able to view my cameras remote. Y’all have messed up the app this really sucks that I can’t view my cameras while I’m away from my home anymore garbage

Swann, Your app is garbage. No updates ever for the floodlight 4k cams. The one camera loses wifi constantly and your app is so slow to respond. I’m constantly having to reset the cameras & no it’s not my wifi, It’s your garbage product. No wonder why you clearanced these out. These 4k floodlight cameras are not reliable and I will be switching to a different company very soon. Not happy !

App not showing live view
Live view not coming up, delay between live view and actual movement. Functions like turning light on and off fail during use

I have a 4K camera that goes off when a cat crosses driveway 100 metres away but fails to detect a vehicle coming up drive and filling image.
I also have a 2K camera that goes of when Sun emerges from clouds and changes lighting conditions.
I have tried all setting combinations to no avail. Also long periods when no live view or detections even though app reports as on line. Totally useless.
Don’t waste your money.

Apps doesn’t work
Absolutely trash. Apps never load. I DON’T RECOMMEND THIS SWANN. Also tech support never call back. I waited for a month after I did all the steps from AI help online but I got no call from tech support. They don’t answer your call or call back after they make you go through all craps from online steps. I spent over $2000.00 system that was worst than a $15 wifi camera on Temu. Do not buy Swann product.

Telephone support
Terribly shocking that a senior disabled struggling with finances that I have to pay to get assistance to get app on phone. I scan barcode on rd order correctly but it just keeps trying to establish connection.
Ease of Use Settings & Monitor
I am 74 hoping for an update that is easy to understand monitor program & app. Whilst I’m sure the intention is good & the details are necessary for it to perform its job it’s so complicated to update settings from when electrician installed and he can’t help fine tune. Eg. trees have grown and movement sets off monitors. That’s an easy minor example. 🤗🤔

App needs fixing!
We’ve used Swann for some years now and never had any issues with the app, but since the recent update it’s become so irritating to use. The playback only lets you skip a few seconds at a time and can’t accurately find a spot in the video that you’d like to play. It used to be fine before the most recent new app design, please fix this!!

Slow app & functions are old fashioned
I would expect a much better app for DVR and NVR system.
Having also got Swann it allows you to fast forward and reverse 15 seconds and also allows you to easily go through timeline footage with the swipe of a button however this Swann app doesn’t have this.
it would be very useful for Swann to listen to feedback such as this and put this in place.
The app is very slow and antiquated. Feels way behind the times and each update that comes doesn’t change anything.
I find also that to view playback takes a long time to view even with 300MB download and 50MB upload when trying to access the app remotely to check camera footage.
Also a recent update has changed the the resolution when viewing life footage it’s set on SD (standard definition). It no longer allows you to view live footage in HD. This is clearly a glitch that should easily be resolved.
Only on review reviewing playback does it allow you to cycle now between SD and HD?

Not great, not terrible.
The app is the most unreliable app I’ve ever used. I have 2 hardwired DVR cameras and 5 wifi cameras and a 4K doorbell. The 2 hardwired cameras work probably 99.9% of the time without any real issues.
The wifi cameras, far out. I have to open and close the app multiple times as they are always frozen blue with the loading image shown as if it’s trying to wake the camera but can’t.
This can even be while actively getting notifications from those cameras. They’re all solar powered and NOT on any power saving mode and are set to always wake upon opening the app. It’s just so unreliable. When I hear disturbances and need to check the cameras quickly they NEVER load fist go.

Range of cameras
I have the cameras about 450 feet away from the house. They seem to be transmitting quite well. Highly recommend.
