Bad app good camera system

App unreliable
Since day one, this app has been sporadic at best. Continually crashing, resetting it all the time,when you actually need it doesn’t work. Pitiful. Talk to technical troubleshooting on several occasions. They say it’s just the app needing upgraded. 6 years now ! giving up switching to. Reolink.

All Swann apps are rubbish
No legacy support. I purchased a system that was obsolete a few months later. Spoke to a child who could not understand their equipment had an underlying operating system. She thought I was talking about Windows or something. I hope the company goes bust seeing as it ripped me off.

Can no longer scan QR code via app on my new iPhone for whatever reason. So I don't have access to our security system via my swannview plus anymore. Fix this.

Take this outdated app off the store you imbeciles
They should be flattered with 1.2 star rating
Constant issues with not able to view cameras and when u do get the chance they freeze up. Only way to fix is to delete app and redownload. Stick to the ring cameras far and above a better system

Absolute Rubbish Swann view plus Application
Since owning my cameras I have had nothing but trouble with the Swann view plus iPhone application .
Everytime my wifi shuts down or internet drops out so do the cameras on my iPhone for the first few years the customer service was great but now they say that they don’t support my model of cameras anymore and basically im on my own so now I have cameras that don’t work and are absolutely useless thanks Swann I will never waste my hard earned money on your products again.

For the love of God update this app to help connect faster. Its takes forever or even never to connect to view cameras. Update NOW!!

It quit working on this latest version. I have an older 8500 system and now the app will not display vide. Doesn’t crash just just waits forever on the video.

Why is there not a class action suit?
I bought this system for over 1000$. Spent 700 having it hard wired only to have it fall off line and jack up 3 years later. I thought all this time it was my password or just user issues. I had to have someone come out and try to get me online again after my husband died. Same installer. It’s the software. My cameras are still beautiful and on the tv in closet but app is crap. Literally junk. Why are we not suing? DO NOT BUY NO MATTER WHAT. SWANN ARE THIEVES.

Tech Support No Longer Provided
I have a DVR8-4900 system that works perfectly fine. However, the app started crashing about a few months ago and then just stopped working all together. I contacted Swann’s tech support team who informed me that they are not able to assist me with this matter because this App and my system are no longer supported by their team/Swann. When purchasing this system, I remember spending roughly $600 (as mentioned the DVR works fine the problem is the app). I was told that Swann has an updated app however, my system can only use this app. Is Swann not able to load my system (and anyone else who may experience the same thing) to the updated Swann app?
