Saved me a ton on parking tickets
Didn’t work yesterday
I’ve had this app for years but for some reason it did not work this morning. I did not get the 12 hour, 1 hour or 15 minute notification. I just checked and my notifications are enabled.

I’m really sorry this happened, especially after you’ve used SweepAlarm for years. The reminders should be reliable, and I want to fix whatever went wrong here. Please reach out to info@sweepalarm.com with your iPhone/iOS version and the alarm details so I can investigate. A missed notification breaks trust, and I take that seriously.

Been using this app for years. Love the simplicity - everything you need in a parking app and no unnecessary clutter.
It’s perfect for when you forget to check or just want to double check the sign where you parked without having to walk back to your car.
I like that I can also easily check restrictions on nearby streets when I’m figuring out where I can move during street cleaning.

Great app, only wish that when I move my car and change the location, it didn’t pop up an alert with ‘are you sure’ and just let me set the new location

I have been using this iPhone app for 3 years, since I moved here and I cannot thank this app enough. It has saved me from so many tickets and also is nice to remember where I parked my car. It eliminates so much stress since I don’t need to worry about reading street signs and calendars to try to figure out when street sweeping is. The UI is also cute, how they put the date and time of the sweeping in a box that looks like a street sign. It’s also useful to use to figure where I park my car before I park it by moving the location around to see what day of the week and street will allow me to park the longest. Download this app!!!

This app is amazing and a public service thank you to the creators!!!! It is a lifesaver since you can check any street schedule at any time and choose before you have to park. And ofc the notification feature is amazing. It is also well designed and doesn’t have adds.
And no offense if you’re writing a bad review bc you got a ticket then that’s your fault; you should still do a quick double check of the sign bc city data may have errors; it’s a well made and free app so be grateful

Works when it works (multiple tickets)
Sitting in my car right now with a ticket in my hand, even though the app says that today is not a sweeping day. This has happened a few times now, beware.
make alarm louder
Can you guys please make the alarm louder or at least the option to make it louder? All I get is a notification, but there’s really no actual alarm in the name.

This it the app we've all been waiting for, living in San Francisco with a car. This app works wonderfully, is reliable and accurate.
The only feature I wish was included is the ability to choose how early to get notification reminders to move my car. Notifications currently seem to only be a couple hours ahead, but I would like the option to add more and be able to choose how much earlier I get them.

Fantastic idea, executed well
I don’t often write reviews, but this app was such a great idea I had to give some kudos. I have only been using the app for less than a week so there might be some issues I haven’t noticed but so far it seems perfect. I have seen people comment that some streets are not correct, however all streets around where I usually park are correct and it’s recommended that you always double check with the sign so no issues there. For those wanting more aggressive notifications, you can go into notifications in your iphone settings, go to Sweep Alarm from the list of apps, and change the notifications to persistent, always show previews, etc. Thank you Jorn for designing this app, and for free!

2. More INTENSE alarms so there's no way to miss it.

Got ticket!
I got a street cleaning ticket at Fell & Baker yesterday morning. I double checked the app before I park. It shows the street cleaning time is 6am to 8am. I safely parked my car on Fell after 9am without to check the signs on the street. An hour later I got the ticket that caused me noticed signs shows the sweep time is 8am to 10am. I feel I was fooled.
Conclusion: The app designed with map is very convenient to use. Don’t rely it. It may provide an un-updated info. Be better to check the signs on the street when you parking.

Hi, Sweep Alarm uses the latest data provided by data.sfgov.org. As mentioned in the app every time you set an alarm, please make sure you always double check the signs since this data is not always up to date.
Worthless
It’s a fantastic concept. But fails miserably in the execution. Save yourself the ticket money and use another method to remind you.

Almost perfect!
This app is going to save me hundreds or thousands of dollars. I try to remember to move my car at the right time but forget maybe once a month, and that’s a $95 mistake in SF. This app is almost perfectly designed.. The only improvement would be more assertive and customizable alarm / reminder options. Great job!
Some reviewers have noted some inaccurate street cleaning dates. So far all info is accurate for me, but I always check the app against the sign before trusting the alarm, recommend that for all users just in case.
