Very Disappointing Food & Customer Service

I ordered a paneer wrap from Swish, and unfortunately, after eating it, I started vomiting and experienced stomach upset and pain. Even before eating, I noticed that the food smelled unusual and seemed stale, but I made the mistake of ignoring it.

What made the experience even worse was the response from customer service. After raising my complaint, I felt that my concern was not taken seriously. There was no proper attention to the issue, and I did not feel that they genuinely cared about the customer’s health or experience.

Food quality and customer safety should be a top priority, and this experience was extremely disappointing. I hope Swish takes such complaints seriously, investigates the food quality, and improves its customer support. I would definitely think twice before ordering from the app again.

Bad Food Quality

Ordered Malabar roti with dhaba style chicken and the roti was super super hard and very poor quality. It almost felt like it’s breaking my teeth and cutting my tongue and flesh in the mouth. Don’t know if this was freshly made or made with ready-made roti, but advertising saying freshly prepared meals is probably a false advertisement. The worst part is they will only refund partial amount and say they will escalate it internally but I have no hopes.

To add to the above, I also ordered salad few days ago that upset my stomach and made me sick.

Edit on 11th Aug, 2026 - in urgency I reinstalled the app to get some food items urgently and ordered two omelettes, both of them felt like frozen omelettes and I was given only partial refund. More over, I ordered for two different dishes but they called and said no availability so ended up giving me the same item twice. I’m uninstalling this app again and never returning.

Stale Food, Sour Coffee & Zero Quality Control

I had a very disappointing experience ordering from Swish.

The chicken popcorn was completely unacceptable. The portion size was far smaller than expected, and the quality was even worse. It tasted stale, as if it had been sitting around for a long time, and it seemed like it had simply been reheated from frozen instead of being freshly prepared. The texture was chewy and unpleasant, making it inedible.

The coffee was equally disappointing. The milk used tasted stale, which gave the coffee a distinctly sour taste. Fresh milk is a basic expectation, so receiving a beverage that tasted spoiled was very concerning.

The lemon iced tea was another letdown. It was overwhelmingly sweet, to the point where the lemon flavor was barely noticeable. On top of that, it had a strange aftertaste that made it difficult to drink.

Overall, every item in the order had a quality issue. For a food delivery service, freshness and consistency should be the minimum standard. This experience fell well below expectations, and I hope Swish takes quality control more seriously because customers should not be paying for stale food and poorly prepared beverages.

Food quality

I guess the product owners focused more on software, convenience, and creating a luxury experience—10-minute delivery, premium branding, and fancy packaging. But the actual food quality was really disappointing.

₹280 for just two pieces of chicken and a small bowl of rice feels heavily overpriced. Yes, your target audience might be busy IT professionals, but they still expect food that’s worth the price, not just attractive packaging.

I feel the priorities are in the wrong place. If the focus remains only on software, speed, and luxury while ignoring food quality and pricing, this could become another failed startup. Customers may try it once for the experience, but they won’t return unless the food delivers value

Poor Service and Misleading availability of Items on App

I tried placing an order through this app. My first order was fine, but every order after that has been a frustrating experience. About 10 minutes after placing my order, I got a call saying the kachori I ordered wasn’t available. I agreed to replace it with batata vada, which was shown as available in the app. Another 15 minutes later, I received another call saying batata vada was also unavailable. When I asked what was actually available, I was told sandwiches. I agreed to that as well, only to be told the sandwich wasn’t available either.

The app repeatedly shows items as available when they aren’t, which is misleading. Your payment is deducted first, and only afterward do you find out that the items can’t be fulfilled. Until they fix their inventory management, I recommend using COD if possible, or choosing a more reliable alternative like Bistro by Blinkit.
