About

The Federal Constitution, the Civil Code, the Code of Obligations and every other federal act in force: straight from Fedlex, the publication platform of Swiss federal law, and set so that reading it is a pleasure. Free, no ads, no account, no tracking. READ • The text on paper, in a calm serif typeface, with article numbers in the margin and paragraph numbers raised, in light and dark mode • Contents with every title, chapter and article • Find in the act with highlighting; “Art. 8” jumps straight to the article • References such as “Art. 41 CO” are links, footnotes open with a tap • Typeface and size as you like: New York, SF Pro, Charter or Iowan SEE WHAT APPLIES • Every article shows since when it has applied in this wording; amended articles are marked • Every version of an act with its date, including older ones and future ones already published • Version comparison: pick two versions and see which articles are new, amended or repealed, marked word by word THREE OFFICIAL LANGUAGES • German, French and Italian are equally binding. The language comparison shows them article by article, side by side, in three columns on the iPad • English where Fedlex has a translation (without legal force) LIBRARY AND SEARCH • The essential acts at a glance, and search across all of the roughly 5000 acts in force by name, abbreviation or SR number • Bookmarks for single articles • Share an article with its text and a link to Fedlex OFFLINE AND UP TO DATE • The Federal Constitution is included and works without a connection • Save any other act for offline reading • The app checks Fedlex for new versions by itself and tells you FOR IPHONE AND IPAD On the iPad, library, text and contents sit side by side, and two versions are compared left and right. In English, German, French and Italian. The texts come from fedlex.admin.ch. This is not an official publication. Only the publication by the Federal Chancellery is authoritative. The app is not an offer of the Swiss Confederation or any other authority.
