What's New in SwissCantonQuest
1.6
September 28, 2026
A weekend tab, a new look, and a proper shield for every canton. WHERE TO GO THIS WEEKEND KantonQuest now knows the one thing no map does: where you have not been. Open the Weekend tab and it suggests a canton you are missing, within about two hours by train or car, with the connection, the weather, and what is worth seeing when you get there. Not the right one? Ask for another. WHERE TO STAY THIS WEEKEND It opens with the canton you are already in, so there is something to do even on the weekends you stay home. THE MONTH AHEAD What is happening across Switzerland in the coming weeks, with a reminder you can set before it passes. A SHIELD FOR EVERY CANTON All 26 cantons now have their own shield in a silver frame. Tap to turn it over and see the place itself. They stay grey until you have been there. SOMETHING TO SHARE Collect a canton and you get a picture worth sending: the shield, the date, and your map of Switzerland filling in. DARK MODE, AND A NEW WELCOME Every screen is drawn twice, for day and for night. The app opens on something worth looking at. ALSO Directions to any place straight from the map. English, German, French and Italian. Shake the phone to report anything that looks wrong.
