User reviews

One Flaw

Nice simulation with good graphics showing the kind of panel meter and control switches you’ll see at a lot of older plants. But there is a single flaw. Which is that is that it trips the turbine if you open the breaker. The reason given is overspeed, but real steam turbines don’t behave that way. Particularly at low load. You CAN open the breaker and the turbine WON’T trip. A better simulation would be to open the breaker and cause the turbine speed to float up a bit.

Wish it could be modified for slower hydro generators

Great training aide.

Great way to learn how to synchronize a generator!

It's very realistic, provides several customization options, and there's no risk of actually damaging anything in the plant, which is always a bonus.

Great teaching tool

This is a great way to demonstrate how to sync a generator. Very realistic, and excellent graphics.
