App not working
My app is not working no one gets back to me from there support team very difficult to deal with this app never works .

Totally useless
Two years in its stopped working completely. As such, can’t use the speakers. Trash.
Live in the music
This is the future. Exceptional sound,transparency and detail. I so enjoy listening to them.
Great speaker. But no control from app
Should have a remote. Especially since the app doesn’t respond to touch. I’ve had this for 2+ years. The sound is fantastic but the app needs lots of work. They haven’t released an update in AGES. Needs a new development team. When I turn up or down with the volume lines it goes full blast or totally quiet.
Syng space please consider hiring a proper developer and release a new app update fixing the bugs.

Connectivity Nightmare
First, it wouldn’t connect to my WiFi or let me try another network - even after restarting the device and deleting my account. Finally it went through, but now the app is stalled on the room sound check. I can’t connect to it over Bluetooth or AirPlay yet. Such a disaster
You MUST update this crappy app
If I move the speakers or for any reason they need to be reset, it takes at least an hour to get the configuration right. It is the least intuitive app it doesn’t give you any progress bars and basically is more frustrating than any other app I’ve used. And this for speakers that cost thousands of dollars! Please get your act together.

Absolutely terrible - does not work!
Basic functionality is there but the interface is very basic. Not much in the way of engagement with the speaker and the UX is quite clunky. Would expect better given the price.

Airplay won’t stay on forever
Feb 2024 updates:
The app works much better now, You only need to reopen the app and wait like 10secs to add back Airplay every time when cell disappears from Airplay list.

This issue has been long existing and annoying when it sometimes takes 3 mins of frustration/confusion before playing a 4 mins song… Speaker would disappear from the AirPlay device list if not used for some time. And to reactivate, you’d have to 1. Open the app 2. Wait an indefinite period 3. Select airplay mode from the app. I constantly fall in the loop of step 2 & 3 watching the airplay icon going back and forth between middle of the screen and it’s spot down below. Zero hint from the app on anything until eventually it worked. ———- For the ones experiencing similar situations, It happened less frequently after assigning a fixed IP address.

Garbage app for a $2,500 speaker
I hate this app so much. WHEN setup works, it takes for ever. I have not been able to add a second speaker which essentially wasted me another $2,500. Would not recommend to anyone
Worst app ever
Considering the enormous cost of these speakers the app is a huge letdown. Speakers constantly disconnect and you have to reset each speaker when they disconnect. I have a small bicycle speaker that cost $40.00 that holds a connection better than these speakers. When the speakers stay connected they sound and look great, but the app cutting out all the time kills the experience. These are extremely expensive speakers and the faulty app and connection issues is shocking bad!

Wow. Just wow.
Not only is hardware truly incredible. The software keeps getting better in every release. I gave some critical feedback and every single issue was addressed and features implemented in subsequent releases. I had a hardware issue, support was incredible (cell fell out of warranty and it was handled anyway). As an Audiophile, Syng is second to none. App is solid, company is amazing.

Sadly unhappy experience
I purchased three of the Alpha Cells to create a multi-dimensional sound experience in our living space, but unfortunately, the software binding them together has been highly unreliable. Compared to our other wireless devices, which never seem to glitch, disconnect or lose performance, the Cells via App have often failed to live up to expectations.
We have had gatherings where music was planned, but instead of providing an enjoyable audio experience, the Cells glitched, stopped playing and had to be replaced with our more reliable Sonos system. My family now considers the Cells a disappointment and I can't blame them. Although they are good when they are working, the unreliability has been a major issue.

Wonderful app, however accessibility needs work.
After getting in touch with the wonderful support team at Syng, they have stated that they will look into accessibility issues I'm having with the application.
The most critical feature, (being able to move the sound source around your space), is not accessible to VoiceOver users, and pinching to focus or widen the soundstage is not working either.
The layout is a bit confusing, but works well enough, allowing VoiceOver to access settings, however the swiping between Cells is not entirely obvious.
I hope this company will be able to find a senior iOS engineer soon, and one who values accessibility as a right.
