Weak

Absolutely boring and pointless

Love ADS-B Exchange, lukewarm on the app

This app is built around a decent core idea, but the implementation has a lot of rough spots to sand out. To name a few:
- topo map background doesn’t work
- satellite map background doesn’t rotate or scale with the rest of the radar view
- several UI elements (labels, buttons, upgrade prompts) don’t respond to settings changes or authentication status

It’s nice to see some fun native development and I hope the team working on this gets the time & resources to continue supporting and polishing it properly. (Product managers: don’t force your team to use agentic coding and design tools! A little extra time to do things right makes a *big* difference.)

For now the website is still the best experience.

Only useful for AR

The 2D interface is colored and scaled in a way to make telling anything apart near impossible, why bother with it when theres such a pitiful free account range vs the website and competing apps. You are getting this data for free

pointless

no ipad support? what year was this app written?

Nothing like website

Not user friendly at all. You would think it would have some level of resemblance of the website for some continuity but no it comes off as a completely diferente app and some random third party attempt.

Quality is an issue

First I thought: “finally an app that allows to browse ADS-B Exchange data in a good way on iOS” but it turned out in a bad experience.

It seems that the app is made for people just wanting to track an airplane and not being deep into the topic. For that use case it may work ok, more advanced people probably perceive this app frustrating. The app has performance issues on my iPhone 17 Pro (stutters in scrolling).

Could be so much better. However I have one overriding reason….

I prefer the web interface. Why? The radar display is absolutely stupid with its sweep, It’s beyond trash.

I work radar at a major FAA radar facility (TRaCON). The radar sweep is dead at any facility now with STARS, and is just annoying.

I feed ADSB-exchange with a raspberry pi, and honestly it suggesting this app makes me want to pull the plug on their feed!

Junky and broken

Vibecoded nonsense. App constantly flashes and glitches out and is very slow. Maps do not function properly. Just an abysmal attempt at an ADSB app.

Password

Too difficult in creating matching passwords according to the app description. I deleted the app.

Buggy but a good start

This app could be super solid if the bugs were addressed. Mostly on the radar screen, with it not updating and other annoyances like a radar sweeeo gimmick that can't be disabled. If the map was crisp and responsive and updated well, this would be 5 stars for sure!

Not a fan

Thought that this was going to be a mobile friendly, cleaned up version of the existing website experience. Using it is a bit odd and not as intuitive as just looking at a map. I’ll continue using the web app, it’s just a much better UI.

So far so good

I’m currently tracking the ch-47 Boeing aircraft helicopter that I usually see often close by, so far this app is great giving it 5 stars 👏🏼

It’s an upside down world.

I download Tailvision. The first and immediate experience show Clark County Indiana airport south of Louisville International Airport. I love the other ADS-B products and I’m sure this a temporary glitch.

What’s the point?

Love ASSB Exchange - but this app is “weird” to me. I guess it’s trying to take on a radar scope appearance, but viewing it is a nightmare to me. Contrast is terrible. Info give me anxiety. The point at sky function is ok - but was really hoping for cleaned up mobile app version of the web site. I’ll stick to using a web page in a browser as it’s super functional and works well. I don’t really get the purpose of the app unfortunately. Feel like the mark was missed on this one.

A few icon options could be helpful.

It’s decent and useable already and I’m sure it will grow into its potential. I feel like linking and transitioning to the map app when needed could improve things, or the addition of some of that apps functionality in this one.

Ai slop

Obviously made with ai which I don’t think is a bad thing but it’s just had no QA. Most things don’t slide or move right all the hallmarks oh a hastily made ai slop app. Try again.

Don’t waste your time

So disappointing. Weird glitches with phone orientation and map overlays. False claim of showing any military aircraft.

Prometteur

Pour un première version c’est pas mal, l’appli manque un peu de clarté. Par contre de la pub (pas trop invasive) même avec mon compte feeder.

Airport placement is inaccurate

The app is great however, the position on the map is grossly insccurate for nearby airports. Otherwise

Ad Free option please

Hard to use this in a professional setting when ads keep popping up showing scantily clad women. I’d happily pay a fee to remove ads.
