About
Take Slate turns a phone into a clapperboard. Scene, take and roll fill the screen in type a camera can read, with production, director and camera underneath. Tap the striped sticks and the screen flashes white and a beep plays, which gives the editor a mark in picture and in sound. The take goes into the log with the time, and the take number moves on.
The shot log keeps every take on the phone, with notes, edits and undo. Share it as a CSV for editorial at the end of the day.
Take Slate Pro, one payment, adds a PDF shot log laid out to print or send, and Wrap day, which files the day's takes as Day 1, Day 2 and starts a clean log for tomorrow. Wrapped days stay readable and shareable as CSV with or without Pro.
No ads and no account. The screen stays on while the slate is open. There is no timecode; the clock on the slate is the time of day.
