Excited about the potential!

This app is just getting started but it’s a really cool concept! I like that it’s more reliable and I feel good using it.

Waiting for a few normal social media features, like manual scrubbing on videos where you adjust where you’re watching. I figure if the app does well it’ll get some upgrades.

Just one question- I forgot to list a medical problem to influence my feed and there’s no place to go back and edit it that I can find. Maybe I’m just blind though haha

Violates privacy

The App requires “sign in using“ your Apple account or your Google account - there’s no feature allowing one to use a different domain. Using the “sign in using” feature may be ‘convenient’ but it also grants them access to data in your Google / Apple account. It’s an invasion of and violation of privacy. There’s no good reason for them to require “sign in using” Apple or Google only

Good idea - needs improvement

In theory this could be helpful, but in its current form, it’s overwhelming. I echo other reviewers that this app could use better search features. Hopefully those improvements are coming. I am adding three requests, please: 1) include the District of Columbia as a selection in the list of states; 2) consider content that is not just videos on the feed; and 3) make it possible to stop the clips automatically playing (I am already overstimulated and that did not help). This app is less useful than Google alerts for my conditions and reading medical papers. Thanks!

Needs some tweaking

App needs some work done on the sign in/ symptoms page. When checking off which symptoms I have the app will automatically scroll to the bottom and I can’t check what I need to check off cuz of the auto scrolling. It’s a bug that needs fixed. Can’t properly use app if I can’t put in all my symptoms.

Good beta, hopeful that this will become fantastic

Specific areas that need improvement prioritized:
- you need to be able to go back and edit your own profile
-videos desperately need a title and that title visible and audible or screen reader compatible on the search thumbnail
-videos need verbal narration. Those of us visually impaired, blind, or with reading difficulties or cognitive difficulties common with health problems are missing out on many of these videos! It doesn’t feel very good to be excluded in what should be an inclusive experience.
-searches need to have meaningful results on the videos it brings up, not irrelevant chaos
-resources and features beyond tictoc like clips is necessary to build community or get meaningful advice on facing symptoms.

Finally this exists!

I am delighted to have a space where symptom-based conversations can happen and true medical advice and education is available. Chronic illness is debilitating and Dr. Nance heading up awareness and validating us is so reassuring and encouraging. Love this.

Great idea

Great idea but the app needs help. Can’t search, can’t respond to people.

Way around the zip code issue

Sign up with your Apple account or use one if Brisbane’s 5 digit post codes! This app doesn’t deserve 1 star for teething issues. It’s a great idea it’s pretty much TikTok’s medical videos but from professionals who you can talk to. There’s the ability to get notified for medical research to participate in for trials as well. Definitely recommend getting and just remember new platforms aren’t perfect! It will only get better from here!

Good intentions, poor execution

This is a visual dumpster fire. It’s a disorganized mess. Random videos with a constant stream of random comments flooding the screen at all times so that you can’t even pay attention to what’s being said. There’s no way to stop it either.
This app has potential to be helpful but as it is right now, it’s garbage. Erin Nance used her online presence to get people to download this to prove some man wrong, but this app was obviously a rush job with zero foresight. Not well planned out. I think being right was more important to Nance than how helpful or ready the app actually is. Very disappointing. If it was more organized, streamlined and made sense to be helpful in any way, I’d be happy to re-download. But as it is, this is 100% useless.

Difficult to use or search

I wasn’t getting anything relevant to my conditions in my feed. If I searched for Fibromyalgia I just got the same doctor talking about children’s illnesses. I searched IBS and got the exact same guy and story. I was really excited about this app but it was completely useless to me. Unable to search or have any relevance to my condition in my feed.

Great idea, but implementation needs improving

I'm a retired librarian. I worked in medically relayed areas for years. What this app needs is a user-friendly way of searching, filtering, and screening the content. It appears to me to be a data dump - hard to find relevant content. It may be there, but how on earth can one fine it?

Great app!

So helpful and easy to navigate. I’m planning to meet with a new specialist and will be using TakeAway MD to help prepare for my upcoming appointment.

Searches and titles

When I enter the search there were a lot of videos but because there were no titles or descriptions I would need to listen to each one to see if relevant. Love this and hope for organizational updates

Love seeing doctor only videos!

It’s so nice to know all these people are legally qualified to be making these videos about health!

Improvement

Please update so you can slide the bar to fast forward or rewind through the video. Will update to 5 stars and remove this review once you do thanks

Zip codes

I live Australia which has 4 numbers in the zip code so I’m stuck at that spot as it will only take 5 or 9. Until this is fixed I can’t recommend to my many chronic illness friends.

Hope this fix because it sounds like a great app

Love the idea - but needs improving.

I do love the idea of this app and the driving reasons behind its development, and would like to continue supporting it; however, it's very basic in its current state and needs a lot of improvement before I'll be able to get much use out of it. A few suggestions I have after using it for a couple hours:

1. Add set tags for common conditions and symptoms, and have them show up at the top of the list. Just trying to add a tag for migraines or ADHD to my profile was a nightmare, as I had to scroll through every single tag ever made that happened to include it, only for the simple #migraines to be at the very bottom of the lengthy (and currently, buggy) list.
2. A search function, so that I may look for content with specific tags. That way, I don't have to sit there scrolling and hoping I come across information relevant to what I'm currently trying to research.
3. The ability to save or bookmark content that I want to be able to look back upon or reference later.
4. Changes to how content appears in your feed. I kept getting a lot of repeats of videos I had already watched, as well as lots of content about topics not relevant to my symptoms in the slightest.

Needs work

Great concept, can’t wait for improvements. As of right now, I cannot opt into any of the research opportunities, and cannot see anywhere to edit the illnesses I have, I also can’t search anything.

Love it so far

I really appreciate this app, it has such a great purpose. There isn’t anything else like it that I have seen before.

Setup not working

I live in Canada, can’t get the setup complete because the app asks for a zipcode instead of a postal code!
