Good for movies
I sat watching a movie in German but had forgotten my glasses so I used talk and translate to follow the dialogue. It did a pretty good job. I haven’t learned how to use it but it seems reluctant to listen to me speak Welsh. Could be a limitation of its language model. I can speak English and hear Welsh but not the other way around

Ridiculously expensive
Before you can do anything on this app, you have to make a choice. Subscribe to the service for $10/month ($520 per year!!) or get a three day free trial and then be charged $10 a week! You cannot use it without committing to a subscription, even if it’s the three day trial.
Look at all the five star reviews on this app. They’re almost all just three or four words. It’s clear these reviews are fake. You have to look at the plethora of one Star reviews to see the real review of this app. It is a money making scheme. I hit the free trial button and then immediately cancelled the subscription. I’m shocked that Apple allows an app to manipulate users this way.

Not work well for lectures
Tried to use this in a conference and it didn't work well when the conversation was one sided. It was laggy and often incomplete.

Maybe it will get better
But right now the real time translation didn’t work as I saw advertised.
Does not work as expected
Real time speech to translate does not work at all. When microphone is pressed speech recognition is not recognized and translation does not occur.
Limited language capacity
Does not offer Kurdish, might have helped if it had said this before I subscribed
Thieves
Cancelled my subscription day 1 or 2. They still billed me. Jerks !

Hasn’t worked properly since last update
This app isn’t working very well anymore. “Recents” are things I haven’t even translated and you can’t do a new translation with out closing the app and going back in. And this is for the PAID version. Will I get a partial refund???

Hello. Mandarin is available in Talk & Translate. You’ll find it listed as Chinese (Simplified) in the language options.

A experiência foi péssima. O app não cumpriu o prometido, então cancelei a assinatura e desinstalei. Mesmo assim, a cobrança foi realizada no meu cartão. O pior é o descaso do suporte: enviei uma reclamação imediatamente e fui ignorado. Não recomendo!

I installed the app for the very first time a couple of days ago, and was immediately informed by the dev that I had an existing account because I had used it previously!
I’m going to uninstall it and in future not going to be using this dev’s other apps.

I want to use this app for Persian to other languages conversation but unfortunately it doesn’t have any voice for Persian language.
