About
Most calorie trackers make you hunt through endless food databases, scan barcodes, or tap through menus before you've even logged a snack. Talk Calories does the opposite.
There's one text box. You describe your meal the way you'd tell a friend — "two scrambled eggs on sourdough with a flat white" — and the app works out the calories and macros for you. That's it.
HOW IT WORKS
Type or speak what you ate in plain language. Talk Calories reads it, identifies the foods and portions, and estimates calories along with protein, carbs and fat – all processed on your device by Apple Intelligence. Nothing is uploaded to the cloud. No searching, no scrolling, no fiddly portion pickers.
Talk Calories runs on Apple Intelligence, so it needs a supported iPhone (iPhone 15 Pro or later) with Apple Intelligence enabled.
SEE WHERE YOU STAND, INSTANTLY
The home screen opens on today: total calories so far, your macro breakdown, and how each sits against the targets you've set. One glance tells you whether you're on track.
SET TARGETS THAT FIT YOU
Your profile lets you set daily goals for calories and for each macro. The app measures every day against those numbers, so progress is yours to define.
SPOT YOUR PATTERNS
A weekly chart shows the shape of your intake across the last seven days. A monthly calendar marks the days you hit your targets, so streaks and slip-ups are easy to see at a glance.
BUILT TO BE FAST
Logging a meal takes seconds, not minutes. The whole app is designed around the idea that the easiest tracker is the one you'll actually keep using.
WHO IT'S FOR
Anyone who wants to understand their eating without the friction of a traditional food log — whether you're managing weight, hitting a protein goal, or just curious about your habits.
A few honest notes: calorie and macro figures are estimates based on what you describe. They're meant to give you a reliable, useful picture of your intake — not laboratory precision. The more clearly you describe a meal, the better the estimate.
