Top reviews

Incorrect opening times

A lot of opening times on the app are incorrect.

Great value

Used this to visit lots of sites in Tallinn. Great value, good app.

Worth it!

Was very easy to use and saved us a lot of time and money. Worth the investment

Unusable on transport

The QR code scanning is unusable on buses and trams as it wakes up Apple Pay. The guide tells you to disable NFC, this is impossible on the iPhone, instead the developer of this app should be using the Apple API to disable NFC.

Good, but could be better

Very simple.
Very usefull.
The ticket is a QR code.
The app is recommending places near to you on your demand. With the card you can enter almost every museum!
But there are some bugs:
-it is valid in public transport. Yes, but first you need to validate in museum after you can use in public transport. First activation in the vehicle is not possible.
-do NOT use “buy for someone else” option!
With this you can gift card. You will pay send by email to your friend the ticket code which he/she needs to add manually in application. In this case the card which is secondary activated, the system understands it like a clone, and the card is banned. After this follows a chat with the operator which is very kind, but it takes 20-30min to understand->react->send a new code-> add manually->send back the wrong one->confirm that is really wrong.
-in the museum the casse is using very old sony android mobile phone, like part of the system and only in one case we need to wait a while to recover from a hw-in-the-loop.
-in public vehicle you need to scan the card in a QR reader, it’s tricky because the camera senses less then 30cm which automatically activates NFC on the phone so you need to “catch” proper distance angle and enviroment backlight - on the crowdy bus which is moving.

Guys, you are the capital city of european SW development! It is good but could be better…Please do some front-end-tests ;-)

Response from developer

Hi Praclika, thank you for your detailed feedback - we really appreciate it! Regarding the part about “first you need to validate in museum after you can use in public transport” - this isn’t necessary. It’s possible that your card simply didn’t activate correctly on public transport at that time. We had a few similar cases earlier, but activation on public transport now works as it should. We’ve also improved several other things based on feedback like yours: - QR scanning now works smoothly without NFC interference. - Buying for someone else is now much easier - you can purchase and share cards via email, Messenger, or SMS. Thanks again for helping us make the Tallinn Card experience better! 😊
