This app has been slow lately. I have used it for over two years, and recently, it's been running slowly.

Used it almost a month now and haven’t got a single reply or anything this just makes you feel desperate for people to connect or try and learn and you get nothing in return. Don’t waste your time on this.

Tandem wasn’t really the best app
I had goals on tandem to learn languages and match with people, it was overwhelming at the end of the day, and it felt like a tinder 2.0 so I wasn’t really happy about my experience.

Are you guys out of your minds? All you care about is squeezing more money out of users. I can’t even add a second language that I already speak without paying for it. Seriously? Charging people just to use another language is ridiculous. This isn’t a premium feature—it’s basic functionality. Greedy and incredibly disappointing.

The most frustratingly buggy app you will ever use
These issues have been going on for years and tandem does not solve them. The idea is nice, but I wish there were currently more language exchange apps so people didn’t feel forced to use ones that they don’t like 👎👎👎
If you use tandem often or heavily (which you probably will if you pay for a subscription), the lag and other bugs will drive you crazy and ruin your experience

At best, it’s ok if you happen to talk to someone who genuinely wants to learn something. Otherwise, it’s exactly like a dating app.
