素晴らしい言語交換アプリ
プロフィールにその人の「レビュー」を書くことができる機能のお陰か、デザインのお陰か、クリーンで民度が高い印象があります。
もちろん出会い目的などの人も一定数いるし、返事が来なかったり、こっちが逆にメッセージが多すぎて返せなかったりと、うまくいかないことは日常茶飯事ですが、人間同士のコミュニケーションなので仕方ないと思います。根気強くいろんな人に話しかけたりやりとりをしていくうちに、きっと気が合う人と出会えるはずです！
アプリの機能上の問題は、たまに、メッセージ履歴が突然消えてしまうことがあることです…
また、相手のメッセージに「返信」する機能を使うと、なぜかメッセージが送信されない率が高く、そこが地味にストレスです。
また、話す人が増えたからか、アプリの動きがカクカクしたり重くなったなと感じます。。
という問題はありますが、このアプリのおかげで旅行先で実際に会ったり、長く付き合える友達と何人か出会えました。お陰で学習中の言語も上達しているし、何より出会える人の幅が増えて、少し人生が豊かになりました。😊本当にいいコミュニティを作ってくださってありがとうございます！

Good app, but unreliable messaging
So far I’ve been enjoying using this app, except for one thing: the message sending/receiving is not very reliable.
I had coordinated to do a video call with someone at a specific time. When the time came, I messaged them to ask if they were still available. Over the next 5 min, I sent another couple messages, but they weren’t responding, even though the app said they had seen my first message.
I waited another 30 minutes before sending a final message saying the I had to go to work and that we could call another day.
Only then did they respond to me, saying “okay, no worries”. I asked what happened, and they said they didn’t get my earlier messages, so they had just been sitting around waiting for me to call.
This was very frustrating and wasted both of our time. This is the only time so far in the few weeks I’ve been using this app that I’ve seen failed message delivery (at least that I’m aware of), but it is still unacceptable, especially when the app is explicitly telling me the messages were delivered when they weren’t.

Do not recommend
Too many fake profiles.. I had to cancel my subscription 3 days after opening my account, so many fake profiles and scammers. It was a real waste of time and money. You won’t meet people who is really trying to learn or make any genuine friends.
Lagging
It always lags, doesn’t show notifications, doesn’t show messages, very slow, it’s getting on my nerves…
Not working for me
My problem is I am still on the waiting list for months how is that even possible
Banned after 10min
What a bad app, bit must be banning people for no reason. I literally connected the first time. Was looking at the options available and got instant banned…
Love the idea and execution, but be careful
I’m really conflicted because I love the concept of this app. As someone who doesn’t currently have access to French classes, this seemed like an amazing way to brand out and have genuine conversations with people from other cultures. Unfortunately, I had to delete the app after 15 minutes — some male profiles on the app made me extremely uncomfortable. Of course, I was also able to have some great conversations, but for me, the drawbacks outweighed the benefits of the app. I know this is not really in the developers’ control, but for that reason, I would not recommend this app to younger women.

Tandem is the best app to improve language development and communication skills!
I’ve been a member of the Tandem since last year… and I’m really enjoying it. I’m trying to join all parties where I can improve my English skills. So , I want to say thanks to Tandem team!
Banned for no reason
As the title suggests, I’ve been using this App for months, almost on a daily basis. One day, out of blue, my account has been banned forever with no explanation whatsoever.
Garbage app ads every few two clicks
They show you an ad every second profile you look at… it makes the app virtually unusable… they also ban people with total bias… as the moderators(who are all white European and obviously racist)understanding of context and language/slang is clearly terrible. So don’t buy a subscription whatever you do as they will ban you over nothing and you will lose money. And now they are limiting you to 10 people a day that you can message which is ridiculous. The app is outdated. There are much better language exchange apps out there.

Running slowly
This app has been slow lately. I have used it for over two years, and recently, it's been running slowly.

Bad app
Used it almost a month now and haven’t got a single reply or anything this just makes you feel desperate for people to connect or try and learn and you get nothing in return. Don’t waste your time on this.
