Excellent translation! Wish I could get a PDF.
I have read this for many years, it is my favourite translation. I would love to have this on iBooks as a ePub or PDF, so that I can listen to it via text to speech; or to have the app allow VoiceOver to read its text. Regardless, I am thankful for this iOS 10 update.

I love this application! I have never read other English versions of the Tao Te Ching to which I could compare, but I feel this is a well written version that is easy to understand. I will note that the Tao itself, with it's abstract concepts, is probably not easily understood by most people. However, it becomes quite clear when a person is ready to "listen" to the message of the Tao.
As for the images, I think some are well matched while others do not follow as well with the messages conveyed in text.

Gimmick photos
This would be a truly great app if there weren't cheesy photos to defeat and draw focus away from the passages. If there's some way to purchase a version without the pictures, I'll pay for it. Hold on to the center.

Distracting pictures
I'd rather read a book scan of Tao than get distracted by pictures of crying kids, runners' feet or birds on every page. It is also uncertain how faithful the text was to the original.

Absolutely the best version of the Tao you can get through ITunes. The translation is fluid and pertains to the original spirit of the teachings, but has its own unique character. Peace!

Having read different versions/translations of the Tao, this one is so fresh and relevant to the world today. Such wisdom is contained in this book and it is beautifully presented. I am amazed that it is offered free of charge and am very grateful that it is.
