Keeps popping up subscription
Unusable unless you buy a paid sub. Otherwise it pops up every time you click a new thread
Cloudflare compatibility is zero
Trying to use forums that have implemented cloudflare is impossible, the software doesn’t allow login or present a login screen to allow interaction.
Fake search results
Tell me WHY the search feature in an app all about forums, does not work? I tried to see what forums existed, to see if there was anything of interest for me. I typed in a search word of interest…a handful of search topics were auto generated, as if they existed in this app… BUT if you were to tap on ANY of those individual results that returned, I consistently got this message : “Oops! We couldnt find ‘( insert whatever forum topic I tried looking for here) , try something else!”
I tried about 20 different generic search terms with the same results.
I guess the goal is to get folks to sign up for the lifetime, thinking there will be all kinds of topics of interest in the app? When in actuality there is no way to preview what forums exist without paying. I don’t know about you all, but I don’t pay sight unseen.
Also when I created an account, it auto suggested a handful of forums to me…the only ones I could search through in fact. One of them was for Tapatalk support- ok, makes sense. Another was for guitars. I don’t play the guitar. Another was for beards… I am a LADY and I am not all that hairy, either. Well, maybe my legs in the winter. Get it together- if there were an actual way to browse forums before purchasing a subscription or lifetime I might actually do it…but this is very deceptive as it leads people to believe the search results that come up when they put in a term are actual forums, when in fact, they lead to an error message.

App no longer works. Even after giving money to remove the ad. So disappointed.
New app new scam
So Tapatalk made a new app, discontinued Tapatalk Pro, and once again if you want add free you have to pay again. This is the 2nd or 3rd time these grifters have done this.

Used to be decent, occasional ads while scrolling and the rare popup asking to subscribe for ad-free use.

Glitchy and frustrating
I've been using Tapatalk for a number of years to access three different forums. It's frustrating to use as it's full of glitches. Some of the threads I follow have hundreds of posts, but the preview always only shows the very first post, not the latest one. If there are photographs in the thread, then often the wrong photograph shows up on Tapatalk - if you go onto Safari the correct photo shows. The most recent messages in threads frequently repeat. The app frequently fails to load and needs to be closed and re-opened Threads that have been read often show up on the "unread" tab multiple times, making it really hard to find the threads I actually haven't read. The adverts are really intrusive and mostly seem to be for violent games or gambling. If there was any alternative app to access the forums I want to follow, I'd not use Tapatalk.

App fails to work after recent iOS update. Black screen and nothing happens.
Terrible App
I tried this recently after not using it for several years. Wow, it’s horrible now. Nothing but spam ads to purchase. You try to read a forum and every few clicks you get a full screen ad trying to get you to purchase.
Was great year ago, not now.
I haven’t used the app in a long time and though I would give it a look again. It lasted only an hour… I received an upgrade page every time I got an alert and opened the app. It’s quicker and easier and much less invasive to use Safari.

Doesn’t work
The search function doesn’t find anything nor does it show the forum I’m subscribed to. Nothing shows up. Deleting this waste of space now.

Overly annoying purchase prompt
Uninstalled within 3 minutes. You get a full screen pop up every 2 or 3 clicks.

Popup insupportable
Popup qui s’ouvre à chaque fois que j’ouvre une nouvelle discussion pour me demander de prendre l’abonnement payant afin de ne plus voir les pubs… ça m’ennuie encore plus que les pubs !!!
Could be better.
This app has issues. Go run notifications are useless when they point to a browser that then points to the app but the links all fail.
