Worst fire app in Australia
Terrible app Won’t load a list of fires !! wont load and list of warnings !!! Can see general position of fires on the map only, still cant see warnings 🤦♂️🤷🏻♂️ there is basically no useful information in this app for the public at all, other than a map that says wildfire is somewhere in the vicinity of a red flame!! There is no indication on the map of burnt area or fire direction for locals to keep an eye on and make sensible decisions to leave or not. its a terrible map interface… clucky almost unusable They need to take a leaf from the vic fires app its awesome easy to use easy to find warnings and extremely useful information Victoria learnt from 2009 seems Tasmania has a lot of learning to in regards to communicating useful, accurate information to the public.

It’s not exactly accurate but still worth it.
Not exactly what I expected, it does say you can see how many trucks are attending. But can’t see that in the app. Would also be good if we can set our own tone to the fire notifications

Amateur hour design
Important apps like this should be designed by developers who know what they’re doing. It’s not that hard or expensive get it done properly.
Watch zones.
They won’t or can’t be deleted.
Could be better
There are better apps but unfortunately this is it for Tasmania 🙁

Working very well. It used to report despatched resources as number of appliances. Was a reasonable judge of severity. Not sure why was changed.

Tas Fires
It used to show the area already burned shaded in red so we knew how far away the fire was to us but now it just shows the fire icon.

Brilliant app
I just love this app. Not only do you get all the information and alerts for fires in your area or the areas you may be visiting but also the weather data is simply fantastic. When you tap on the icon for the weather station you get the most accurate data and predictions of wind strength and direction. The wind graphs are simply brilliant and I use this aspect of the app every day. Unfortunately, the data for the weather stations is not currently being displayed. Please bring back ASAP.

Awesome app - given the uncertainty and amount of fires at the moment it is wonderful to have this to be able to refresh and receive current information. The map is great - showing your location in relation to fires and the status of those fires.
Costs peanuts - I’d gladly pay more for the peace of mind it proved!!

This app will keep you up to date with all fires around Tasmania in order of closest first, which is exactly what you need to know. Thanks
If you live near bush this is a must have app
If you live near bush this is a must have app - A really great app in which you can specify a zone around any point you like and it notifies you of any fire or hazmat issue in that zone. Brilliant
Great App
This is a great app however the only thing I would like to be added is a notification system that alerts you of fire warnings such as advice, watch and act and emergency push notifications.
Good, but requires fixes
The app is quite good, however, the ‘watch zone’ function does not work (it will delete the watch zone you enter off its list within minutes. Additionally, you cannot search for a location by entering an address, you have to search for a location in the map which is cumbersome).
