Personal information
The app requires a ton of personal information: SSN, ID, photo, address, phone, DOB, bank details, etc., in exchange for very vague promises.
I’m not willing to hand over my personal information to who-knows-who just so that a month later I get a letter from the IRS asking why millions in daily transactions are flowing through my new crypto accounts.

Limited options
Taskr aka Taskrabbit is very limited on the available trades and skills in our own area and does not allow an option for an individual to input their own skill trade to open the door for options. Such as for a web designer or a graphic designer. Just because the demand is not high in a certain area. Therefore, making this app useless to a user who is seeking for opportunities, even for remote opportunities outside of their local area.

Great App for handy person
This is one of the best apps I have ever found, and it has definitely been keeping me busy. I love almost everything about it, except for the payment system.
I wish the app handled payments directly and did not split a single payment into two separate parts. It would also be much more convenient to have the option to receive earnings weekly or choose when to cash out, instead of having payments come in bits and pieces.
That is honestly the only downside I have experienced with this app. Having all weekly earnings combined and paid out once a week, with an optional cash-out feature, would make the experience even better.

To join they make you pay for a back ground check. I passed that no issue then I set my availability and filled out my profile. I set a large work area and sent time to have a good profile. No jobs ever waste of money

Great updates
The app keeps getting better with every update. Now you can copy a client’s address directly from the iPhone Calendar. I hope that one day the developers will add a feature that sends notifications from client messages in Tasker chat directly to the Calendar as well.
TaskRabbit Treats Taskers as Disposable
TaskRabbit is one of the worst platforms to depend on as an independent contractor.
They advertise the idea that Taskers are independent professionals building their own businesses, but in reality you are building a profile and reputation that you have almost no control over.
You can spend months or years completing jobs, earning five-star reviews, buying tools, paying for gas, driving to clients, taking on liability, and building a strong reputation — and an automated system can suddenly restrict your account, destroy your visibility, or remove your ability to receive work.
The worst part is the complete lack of transparency.
When something happens to your account, support usually gives generic copy-and-paste answers, passes the case from one person to another, or tells you that they cannot change what the system has done. There is very little meaningful escalation and often no clear explanation of exactly what caused the punishment or how to fix it.
Taskers take nearly all of the risk: tools, transportation, vehicle expenses, insurance, unpaid travel time, cancellations, difficult clients, property damage risk, and gaps in the schedule. Yet TaskRabbit can still penalize the Tasker for situations that may be outside their control.
The ranking system is also extremely opaque. Your income can depend heavily on where an algorithm decides to place you in search results. One week you can be busy, and the next week your visibility can disappear.
That is not independence.
That is dependence on an algorithm you cannot see, controlled by a company you cannot meaningfully talk to.
My advice to anyone considering becoming a Tasker: never build your entire business around TaskRabbit. Use it only as a temporary source of leads while building your own customer base, website, Google profile, referrals, and independent business.
Because no matter how much money you make for this platform, how many customers you help, or how strong your reviews are, TaskRabbit can remind you very quickly that you do not own the business you built on their platform.

This is scam I have to do the registration twice and when I contacted the support team they told me to discativate my account and open new one ,

I have been using this app for about a month now and have gotten a couple of jobs here and there. Only issue I hav wish I can't upload more photos to showcase my skills.

They have bs terms and conditions, you cant talk outside of the platform. Okay so make your platform good enough so people dont chat outside of it.
Some Policy were keep everything in chat even when on task; like bruh imagine the guy next to you and you still text them.

Be open minded, You guys are nothing without taskers ! Be polite and ask for proof before cancelling/ suspending the accounts. Try to hear from taskers side as well and not just a made up story from a client.

Locked out of Account
Was logged out of account and had to reset password. No matter how many times I reset the password it wouldn’t work. Then I came and saw several people had the same issue. Weird app for sure.
Definite Scam
You’re telling me I have to pay money to sign up to be a tasker? Not to mention, this is the last step in signing up, nowhere along the way does it mention this. They already have your social security number and government ID by the time you get to this step. Total scam and wish I never gave them my info.

Can’t open my schedule
I cannot access my schedule. I just see Set this week’s schedule. When I click on Set availability the app just crashes

No matter how good of a picture u take for the identity verification it still can not verify you because. The developer are too lazy and trash to fix the bug and would rather sit with their head in the ground.

I joined TaskRabbit as a Tasker in mid May.
By the first week of June, I was doing two (2) 5-7 hour tasks EVERY DAY. I was THE top NUMBER ONE, MOST REQUESTED, MOST SOUGHT AFTER, Tasker for organization in the ENTIRE San Francisco Bay Area (Marin County, San Mateo County, San Francisco County, and the ENTIRE EAST BAY - Oakland, Richmond, Berkeley, Hayward, Fremont, Concord, Walnut Creek, etc).
I remained the #1 Tasker for organization until early August. I opened my email and that was it. Some low-mid level TaskRabbit employee decided I had violated the availability policy for rescheduling a yard work - gardening - task more than once.
It was a misunderstanding, I had been in contact with the yard work client directly via text, he had ASKED ME on a number of occasions to reschedule the task ON HIS BEHALF. No problem, the texts would clarify the TaskRabbit employee’s misunderstanding.
With the clients permission, I emailed TaskRabbit support back with 13 screenshots of the scheduling conflicts attached, as well as messages from the client thanking me for being the best Tasker they’d ever hired, and for being so understanding and making rescheduling so easy for them.
The email I got back basically read: “Don’t care. Didn’t look at the attachments aka the evidence that confirms not policy was violated (that we ASKED YOU TO PROVIDE TO HAVE YOUR ACCOUNT REINSTATED), don’t email us again, your never going to be back in the search results.”
That was it. Which, wasn’t as big of a deal as it could have been, since I had already started my own company, but looking on Reddit, it’s a VERY common issue with TR’s “Tasker support.”
I think they were actually upset I wouldn’t go to an abandoned stash/trap house that 1. Wasn’t listed on the task (client texted it to me), 2. After dark in a really bad area, 3. Only had a hospital bed with handcuffs inside, 4. The address produced had me uber 40 minutes to the wrong place I guess, and 5. I didn’t want to get r*ped or m*rderedn or tr*ficked.
