Extremely useful and unique, but a little buggy sometimes
There are bugs in the UI. Sometimes the flowchart disappears or has glitches, and you need to restart the app. Fortunately data loss has not been an issue. Also, some details such as needing to click in the text box to start typing a task name (rather than having it pre-selected after creating it), or not being able to bulk-edit (eg, color-coding several tasks at once) would make it easier to use.
But overall an extremely functional tool that doesn’t have any peer.
Excellent view
I moved from OmniFocus UI because lack of a flowchart visalize and Taskheat accepted the import of 1,000+ tasks and 100+ products great.
A feature users may not be aware of is Taskheat works with Focus Filters
The best
Response from developer
Hello JonH20, Thank you so much for your detailed and thoughtful review! We’re thrilled to hear that Taskheat is a great fit for your workflow and that it helps you visualize connections effectively. Your feedback about the ability to type a task name immediately after creation is greatly appreciated, and we’ll definitely take it into consideration as we continue working to improve Taskheat and make it even more accessible. If you have any further suggestions or questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at support@eyen.fr. Thank you for choosing Taskheat! Looks good!
Great app. It simplifies the chaos that is my task list.
This app would be even better if it had a browser accessible version.
I’ve so far been using this app to track my one off personal tasks and also my personal habits.
It's OK
Needs iPad Improvements
No longer so promising and useful
There are many features still needed - repeating tasks, for example. Also tweaks and polish - the ability to have a due date without a time, for example. But a great start and a good looking, fairly intuitive piece of software. Others have reported crashes - not me - stable across my platforms.
And tt's great that it works across all platforms. Much to comend it.
At the moment I'm using it purely as a visual workflow planner and for that alone it's great and worth the price.
Get on board now, purchase it at a great price while you can, give the developers some encouragement. This could, eventually, be a really essential app.
-Update 1
The developer is working hard to fix bugs and add features. Synchronisation has recently seen major improvements and now seems to work really well. Other new features have been added, such as the much needed Undo. This is starting to get to be quite a solid offering. Still more needed - repeating tasks, tasks without a due time but with a due date. After about a year of using this software it's still delivering for me. Glad I stuck with it.
-Update 2
The app just starting crashing on my Mac. Probably related to some kind of sync issue since I had just made a change. Although the Mac app would not start, the iPad and iPhone apps still worked so I was able to get to my data. I tried to contact the developer - no response. I tried to remove the Mac OS app after backing up my iPad data and then re-install it. Several attemps - no improvement. The Mac app is obviously getting stuck and I've tried using various dev tools to see what is going wrong but can't find it. With no support from the developer, I'm afraid it's goodbye TaskHeat. I'll use a MindMapping tool instead, which is very similar, and more stable. Shame. It was a useful app. Just not stable and without any support, of no use primetime.
This app is terrible
Great App
Good but...
Great idea & great philosphy
Update : 2 years on
Still use this nearly every day on two iPads and an iPhone. Customer support is still great. Thanks everyone.
App doesn’t work as intended
TASK TRASH
A Potential Game-Changer with a Critical Issue
Excellent app
Broken
Quit, relaunched and could then add a task, but given that it's obviously broken I wouldn't trust it to remember my lunch.
Awesome tool for quickly mapping out and visualising task dependencies
- add ability to generate a shareable URL (which updates when changes are made)
- add export to PNG/PDF/SVG function
- prevent dark colours from inverting when shrink to fit (affects print to PDF too)
Please… Fix the small issues with iOS, make it great!
Are you able to push this over the line into greatness?
Thanks
Nice app, but I wish some things were different.
- The organization chart aspect is wonderful.
- Easy to learn and use.
What I really dislike and wish would be different:
- I know the developer is trying to be helpful here by putting all of your projects together in just one file -- but I don't want all of my projects being stored together, as if they are somehow related. I want each project to be in its own seperate file that can be opened, saved, etc. This "bundle it all together", even if its completely unrelated is is not good.
