Taskrabbit is a dating site

No one ever showed up to my scheduled New Tasker Workshop. I’ve received on two task requests and both were for sex. The jobs make no sense and the clients never have profile pics. The task requests are full of innuendos. The first was an old lady and the second was a gay Latino. Tasker is a scam. Don’t waste your time.

Trending Downward

This company used to be a great way to make money with your truck. And the last few years they’ve slashed prices to wear you’d be making almost less than minimum wage. They don’t offer any incentives for gas either. Also, there’s been this thing going on lately where I’m getting sent jobs from LA and I live in San Diego. I sent them a message about it a week ago and nothing has been fixed. It’s a shame how far this company has fallen. Get it together.

Rips the workers off

If you work for Dolly you’ll get ripped off. For instance Dolly would charge $800 for a 2bed room move the help which will be the drive will get paid around 260-270 while the hands is getting 130 so Dolly keeps the 400$

What’s government action can be done about not receiving pay

Al been with this platform since May 13. It is now May 19. They say payouts every Tuesdays and Thursdays and it has been now to pay. I tried doing the research again and looking to see what could be the potential issue that hand from this but unfortunately they’re refusing to pay. It’s like I have all these names. I have these last names I try to look up these people at this point because I worked actively jobs that pay me up bill $700 and I haven’t received it. I don’t know driver that this point has stolen the money and some kind of way or what, but this is all right in human folks out here needing a job and the person who even created this platform did it to help but it’s like that person hired people that don’t even care.

The app constantly has bugs

App crashes every once in a while. Always in a different way. This time the order disappeared went I got to the drop off destination. And customer support told me to drive back to the store. Making my way back to the store the order re-appeared and now dolly just tells me to deliver it for the SAME amount of money! I drove twice the distance because their app doesn’t work properly. And they won’t give u any compensation.

No loyalty. How does the system select the Helper?

After securing a Dolly, an adjustment was made on the customer side which cancelled the Dolly and relisted it. I bid on it again and was communicating with the customer through Dolly and being the only one to bid for it, it was determined it was enough work for just one helper rather than 2. I bid on it instantaneously and I don’t get the Dolly. How am I not selected for being the only one who bid on the previous Dolly and was in open communication with the customer? Where is the loyalty within the algorithm in the process of selecting the Helper?

Nee update

No names, no item description, no nothing, its really annoying to get to the store with no info but the number. The waiting time to get the items has increased because of it. And now you cant talk to the customer. This update sucks. Thats the first app o dont see ever a developer answering comments.. changes are NEEDED.

Low quality

They hire the worst people to help lift. No-shows, trashy/argumentative, etc. There is also no reason the app needs access to your location 24/7 but they do this too with no way to reject it

Cheap payment, poor support service

This is one of the worst apps for making extra money. Pay is always cheap. A of issues with their app. Very poor support service. I wish I could leave 0 starts.

Dolly is really rubbish

Dolly is really rubbish. A lot of the tips given by customers will be deducted by the system, and 40% of the customer's payment will be deducted to increase the platform's revenue! Apart from your own costs, it's not worth doing these jobs at all!
Your own time, vehicle loss and refueling are all your own costs! It can't be compared with income.

Terrible

Customer support rejects proof of insurance because it’s “too blurry”. I send a .pdf which they accept but they ask me to resubmit the vehicle they rejected. I can’t upload .pdf and screenshots of it are “too blurry”.

Aside from this, the helper rates are a race to the bottom which means you work with the lowest-talent help available — no-shows, people who don’t know what they’re doing, and have been in dangerous situations because of the app.

Always problems with this app. Avoid it if possible

App says another person has been scheduled, won’t let you accept the dolly then will charge you

They told me I never was scheduled, I didn’t show up and now they want me to pay them $90 because it happened twice. They never answered their phone or responded to emails and refused to void the penalty “but are still working on fixing the issue almost a year later”

I never intended to miss or abandon the Dolly. On the day of the job, when I received the dolly, the app would not allow me to start the job. I attempted to resolve the issue immediately, but no one was reachable by phone at the time.

I also sent multiple emails to support explaining the situation, which went unanswered for months. I am only now receiving a response, long after the incident occurred. This delay alone highlights a serious breakdown in support for providers.

If Dolly is aware that the app has recurring technical issues that directly prevent pros from starting jobs, it is unreasonable to penalize providers for failures outside of their control. Voiding this penalty should be a straightforward decision under these circumstances.

What is most concerning is that I have experienced the same app issue repeatedly for nearly a year, which indicates the problem has not been resolved. Continuing to enforce penalties while known technical problems persist gives the impression that generating revenue from providers is being prioritized over addressing systemic issues.

This resolution is extremely disappointing and does not reflect fair treatment of professionals who rely on the platform to function as intended. I am requesting that this penalty be reconsidered and voided, as it resulted solely from a Dolly app failure, not provider negligence.

I expect a more reasonable and equitable resolution.

Terrible platform. Unreliable

Booked a mover to move one large item from Stamford to Long Island. I provided the exact measurements, weight, model and photos. Was given a quote. In several hours I was assigned a mover. My credit card was charged.

On the day of the move received a message from my mover that he was on his way to pickup the item.

Several hrs passed. Mover did not show up. Did not answer texts. Tried to contact Dolly. Took an hour to ahold of someone at Dolly. CSR looked up my move number and said “your move was cancelled”. Dolly has a limit of 300 lbs for items to be moved.

No contact. No email. No text.

Now I’m stuck on a Saturday with a heavy item to move at the last minute.

Will not use Dolly again. The platform has few options for customer service and is very opaque.

Lame

I wish I had known there would be next to no jobs available before I forked $30 over for a background check smh your lucky if you see one or two jobs listed a week

Can’t finish set up mi account

After pay $30 for my background check and get an email to start to work I can’t long in or sign up in the app

Not the best app

I have made money with them yes but one thing for sure their communication is not the best if you have an issue with payment they are slow at getting back to you I was penalize for my vehicle breaking down and still fighting to get the penalty waived I emailed and called and can’t get a hold to the correct people they barely respond to your email but will take money from you with no issue had my account suspended after showing up to a job showed proof that I did and they never responded GoShare is a much better app

No activity

Im conviced after being on the app for a month and only seeing 2 dollys show up that nobody uses this app I have changed my locations settings and everything

Greedy, illogical app

Dolly takes 50% cut of each customers’ payment despite only offering the leads, which inhibits the pay of each mover. It’s not uncommon to see 2-hour moves for $61 — this is what Dolly recommends. You’ll be lucky if you can get an offer for more than $30/hour.

Additionally, the algorithm to get selected for a job seems arbitrary at best. You may apply for a job the second it comes out, only for someone else to get selected. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to this.
