Harissa, chili crisp, yuzu kosho. The day you buy it is the best part — and then it sits at the back of the cupboard until the date has passed. TASTOCK tracks each bottle you own by its expiration date, and keeps what you learned about it.
■ Just the name is enough
Only the name is required. Add the expiration date and hashtags whenever you get around to it, so a new bottle is logged before you even unpack the bag.
■ Soonest to expire, always first
The list is always sorted by expiration date — there is no sorting to do. Days remaining are shown as both a number and a color, so it reads even if color is hard to tell apart. A notification arrives as the date gets close. Turning notifications on, the time they arrive, and how many days ahead they come are all yours to set, free.
■ The record outlives the bottle
Bottles with matching names link to your collection automatically: an overall rating, taste scales you define yourself, hashtags, and notes (recipes go here too). When a bottle runs out the collection entry stays, so the next time you spot the same jar, how you used it last time is waiting in your collection.
■ Keep a list of ones you're curious about
The collection has "Tried" and "Wishlist". Log a bottle you had saved to your Wishlist and it moves to Tried on its own.
■ Everything stays on your device
Names, ratings, hashtags and notes are stored only on your iPhone. No account, no ads. The only network traffic is purchase processing and anonymous usage measurement.
There is no limit on how many bottles of the same seasoning you can keep.

- Grow your collection without limit (free covers 5 "Tried" and 5 "Wishlist" entries)
- Up to 8 taste scales, up to 20 categories, and unlimited distinct hashtags (free covers 4 scales, 6 categories, and 5 hashtags)

- Export and import your records as JSON (for moving to a new phone)
Notifications stay free. Watching expiration dates is what this app is for, so there is no lock on it.
