They kept me updated and informed where the taxi driver was and the fixed price meant it was all agreed and no nasty surprise charges. 10/10.
Sending new login data to UK number doesn’t work
I tried to contact the developer directly but even that doesn’t work. I tried to reset my login although I don’t think I had an account. But when I put in my UK number no code/data ever received back.
Last minute cancel
We spent $80 on a tour in Funchal but we were staying on the other side of the island, and had to get to Funchal at 10:30 in the morning. The Taxiin app cancelled our taxi 7 minutes before supposed arrival. We had to scramble to find something else or we would have been out all the money for the tour. Never use this app!!!!

In our terms and conditions it does say when you schedule a ride in remote areas it is best to contact the call centre because there are no taxis in remote areas. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Quoted me €6 for a trip, then called a taxi far away and charged me €13.

App works great. We ended up pre booking a trip and wound up with Luis. He was amazing. Told us a lot about the area and was very friendly.

Really bad designed app. Hard to use and it doesn’t even work. We booked a taxi twice an nobody showed up….
A lot of false information
Distances are not always calculated correct, which also can result in a wrong price that is to be paid and ETA is miscalculated as well…
Didn’t work for us
Repeatedly booked in Calhete and it was cancelled each time with no notification. We were just left standing on the street waiting.

The customer service is exceptional and the drivers are very friendly. I would highly recommend booking trips around Madeira through this app!

Outside of Funchal this app is basically useless. Prebooked rides are cancelled at a moments notice
Amazing service
We have used the Taxiin app numerous times during our stay in Funchal. The app is easy to use and notifies you of where the driver is when they are on their way to you.
It is possible for the app to select your location or you can select where you want to go if you are not sure of the address using the map.
The drivers were all helpful and the office staff were great resolving any issues.
I would definitely recommend using this app.

Fantastic service
Fabio is an absolute star when it comes to customer service. We were trying to book a taxi to Pico do Arieiro for our group of 8 people and were unable to find a taxi that would get us there. Fabio went above and beyond to find us a taxi and maintained a super friendly and positive attitude throughout. I highly recommend using this service if you plan on going on a holiday to Madeira.

The app shows the different price from what is acutely charged from the credit card. The price looks like a fixed price in the app but it’s not. The cars are super old and the driver didn’t wear a mask.
The app is super slow and unresponsive. Copy and paste your credit card says that it’s invalid even when it was not. Had to type it all in again. It does not even let you autofill.
Only used this becouse bolt was booked out. Bolt is also half the price if available and with new cars often electric.

Great app
The app is perfect to plan taxi drives on Madeira. Especially to the mountains or further away destinations. Perfect support via WhatsApp when there are questions.
Fantastic local yellow taxi service
It’s always a joy to use these guys - you get a proper official yellow taxi, all drivers are very polite, modern, knowledgable, helpful, I had many good conversations with them. Good application and gets better all the time. If something goes wrong Fabio on support is there to help, super friendly guy. I just wish more yellow taxis in Madeira sign up - as this is the future, no point of sitting in the taxi rank waiting for business all day.

Highly recommend using this app for travel in Madeira. Amazing service and really helpful drivers. Anyone from the UK looking to go it’s like Uber but super reliable and on time. Could not recommend this app more. The people are really nice and helpful.
