Excellent App

I’ve used this app for probably close to a decade now it seems. I used it as a prosecutor and now as a judge. Although I have access to Westlaw and Lexis, having this information so readily accessible is a game changer.

Bad update.

New version deleted all of my tags and now wants me to pay more.

Response from developer

I apologize for the inconvenience. Please reach out via the support function in the app and I can help you restore your tags. They should not have been deleted. Existing customers do not need to pay more to keep access to everything they've ever had access to - including free updates. You only have to subscribe if you want access to the significantly expanded legal resources I added in the latest update. You will absolutely keep everything you paid for forever. Please reach out if you aren't seeing that and we will help you fix it.

Update deleted tags

The new version is harder to read, harder to use, looks horrible, and it deleted YEARS of saved statutes.

Response from developer

Please reach out to me directly through the app and I will be glad to help you. The update should not have deleted tags and we can absolutely help you recover them.

Switched to subscription-based without notice

I bought the app when purchasing it meant having all the access. Come to use it today and I find that I have little access without now paying a subscription fee. Basically stole my access.

Response from developer

The app should give you an option to claim free lifetime access to everything you had before as an existing user. No existing user lost anything they had access to at all. If that didn't work as expected, please reach out directly via the contact option in the app and I will be glad to help fix it. The old app only had the current version of the TCA; the new app has both Tennessee and federal rules of evidence, civil procedure, and criminal procedure. It works on all of your devices and you can use it from your computer via the web interface. It also reports what changed between each version of the law. Adding all of that functionality required a switch to a subscription model to be possible because of the ongoing maintenance costs.

Not current

Has not updated title 37,subsection 1, which is at 2022 code language currently. Disappointed.

Response from developer

Thank you your review. The app has been updated and now has the full current code.

Helpful, but ...

This is helpful for a general reference, but it's not 100% up-to-date. For example, it's August 14, 2024, and the changes to TCA Section 40-11-150(n)(2) that took effect on July 1 are not in the app. Therefore, I can only believe that other July changes to the code aren't in there, which creates problems. When will the app be updated with the 2024 changes?

Needs updates

This App is supposed to give you the most up to date laws. Well, it doesn’t. Prohibited weapons law was changed in 2022 and the law as written in the app does not reflect the appropriate changes.

Response from developer

Thank you your review. The app has been updated and now has the full current code.

Update Needed

Hello,

Could You please update the app to reflect the new TCA for charging someone with a stolen handgun now being a class E felony?

Thank you.

Response from developer

Thank you your review. The app has been updated and now has the full current code.

Helpful on the Job

This app has helped me tremendously. Being a new police officer I use this app daily to study my TCA codes.

Police

Lifesaver, one of the absolute best tools for staying up to date on Law in Tennessee!!!

Great app

This is well worth the money. I’ve recommended this to multiple colleagues

Terrific resource

Great for anyone in legal field. Easy to access and keep current.

Don't waste your money

This app is absolutely terrible, it is difficult to navigate and does not have the information that a Leo needs

Response from developer

The app has the entire TCA (literally, every law) and other resources for Tennessee LEOs, including SFSTs, Miranda, driver license codes/restrictions, and more. Is there something specific you wanted me to add? I'd be happy to look into it.

Much needed resource.

Thank you josh a must have for any LEO or anyone else who needs access to the entire volume of TCA. Unfortunately our working volumes doesn't just include 39 and 55. There's 36, 37, 38, 40, 53, and 57 to name a few. Please keep the updates coming.

Awesome app but could use a little improvements.

This app is very good and the recent law changes update was awesome, most TCA apps never update laws after the app launches. The only thing I noticed that could be improved is the lag while using the app. I'm not saying it's bad by no means but it could be made better...... Still an awesome app!!!!!! Good Job Guys!!
