Horrible
My son just started using this for class and it’s been pretty bad honestly. First the phone turns off while the song is playing. Second i dont get why it opens safari links. Then the song plays in the background even after I paused it. Assignments don’t load…It’s been frustrating after just 1 use.
Broken app
My music academy uses this app for its students, I use the timer for when I practice piano and half the time when I finish a session it said “role has been denied for this request”, and doesn’t record my practice time, been like this for years so the devs clearly don’t care about this app
Unable to make an account
I’ve tried this on multiple devices and can only login, there is no way to create an account.
Broken
App doesn’t allow the expiry date of an existing credit card to be updated (“Invalid Expiration”) nor a card deleted in order to re-add it.

As a teacher, this app is useless.
As has been previously stated, there is no way for instructors to use the app.
Developers, do not cheerily tell us to just “use the website,” it is SLOW, CLUNKY, is not reasonable make quick schedule changes on the fly on a laptop/desktop, let alone a phone, and in the year of our lord 2022(at the time of this review) this is wildly unacceptable. Someone in the earlier reviews said that it feels like a 90s piece of software. That is accurate. If this could be updated to be a smooth, fast, and easy to use app for not just students but teachers I would even be willing to pay for the experience. As it stands, scheduling with Teacherzone is the most frustrating part of my job, yet it is required by the school that I teach at.
We’ve been using it for many years now and once in a while I check back in to see if there has been an improvement. It’s never happened and I honestly don’t think it will at this point. I mean, come on!!! Hire an app developer and make it happen. Charge $0.99 to make up the cost! Or $3.99?! or anything!!

Why not Teachers
Please allow teachers to use the app!
I’d give a higher rating but...
When is this going to be developed for teachers?? I don’t use laptop or desktops if I could use mobile such as my iPad or phone. Such a sad waste..

The platform is called Teacher Zone, yet they don’t make an app for teachers— just one for students. Between existing students rescheduling and new students signing up, teaching schedules are always changing. The pandemic has only exacerbated the issue, so now, more than ever, teachers need a mobile app to manage schedules, messages, and remote lessons. For a platform that’s still online, it’s unbelievable that this app hasn’t been updated in years.
This is a completely useless app for teachers and the online TeacherZone experience feels like using a clunky operating system from the 90s. It’d be nice to see an fully revamped, thoroughly streamlined design of the entire platform. They’re on the cusp of something truly useful, but the current state of the platform leaves a lot to be desired.

No notifications
It doesn’t send me any notifications when my guitar teacher puts something in the chat. PLEASE FIX
Mobile app needs improved
I wish the mobile app allowed teachers to log in and see their schedule live as changes occurred. It is not designed for the teacher sadly.

I recently started using this website to help organize all of my private students. I love that I can keep a permanent attendance record & share links & information with all 58 of my students INSTANTANEOUSLY instead of by those pesky group texts. I also love the idea of the practice timer.
Also the “Here’s what’s going on today” tab on the website is so nice. Easy schedule update right when I log in.
I’m hoping to be able to use the billing feature in the future. It excites me that I could do EVERYTHING from lesson planning to billing in one place.

Needs feature parity with website
This app is quite terrible. It doesn’t allow you to do stuff like update your profile pic, nor add ACH information. If you want to do that, you’ll need to log into the website instead.
Also, the practice recorder seems a bit buggy.

Very Poorly Written App and Website.
My Guitar Teacher has started using this app and website. For this reason I will probably have to leave his class. I am an IT professional with 25 years experience working with and troubleshooting applications. Besides the app and the website being unbearably slow the navigation is horrible. It is not intuitive or use friendly. I would not recommend this app to anyone.
