Needs improvement and ability to add volunteers
The app is nice but the old snap had more capabilities. We need the volunteer sign-up function back please!
Awful
New app is less functional than the original. Half my team can’t even access their profiles on the app. I only resolved the issue of missing teams by logging out and back in. But we are still missing multiple teams. More frustrating to navigate than it needs to be.
Lost functionality not worth “cleaner” look
Overall this looks cleaner than Team Snap, but all of the best functionality that made TS my preferred youth sports app were eliminated.
The game clock was eliminated from the live game feature, in addition to the live event chat. Many parents relied on the in app game clock during games. It was also much easier to track game progress from afar.
The calendar function is worse than before, too. The only way to get updates to my personal calendar that my family uses for organization is to subscribe. However this is incredibly slow to update, if at all. I also do not have the option to add indicated events to my calendar anymore, which is helpful for quicker updates when schedules change.
Less impactful, but noticeable this year, as we have a largely new team, is the roster. No more pictures to help learn who is who, in addition to no visible parent contact information if I want to connect with another parent outside of the app.
I absolutely prefer the old app to this one.

Fewer features
This new ‘upgraded’ version only allows for uploading one parent contact. Then each parent has to go in and add another additional contact if you want more than one adult to get notifications for a child. Also there isn’t the assignments function like the old version to help coordinate team activities.

Somehow worse than the original
Significantly less functionality than the original TeamSnap. Useless for team mgmt based on what is missing. Clearly built as an effective platform for TeamSnap to try to upsell you even more though!!
Not as good as the original
I really miss the old TeamSnap as it had more features than this version. Two main ones - no way to sync calendars for individual teams in the app/browser (must wait for an email with the link) or to assign tasks like snacks. And annoying that the chats are grouped together for all teams.
Downgrade from previous version
This app is horrendous. It no longer makes any kind of notification sound even when notification sounds are set to on. The parents keep missing the messages. It is making communication a nightmare. As a coach, I can’t update a location unless it is added by organization as an option so the parents don’t know where the games are without me sending an additional message. And I cannot send an email as a coach, only the organization can. It’s absolutely awful.

New app stinks, stick with old one
The new team snap app is awful. It eliminated or changed the functionality everyone appreciated. No desktop support. No email capability. No auto importing of schedules. No in game timing. No in game comments. I have no idea what the new version is supposed to offer. It’s like they developed this with a focus on “how to take the old app and offer none of what made it valuable.”

Brutal UI and functionality
Somehow the #1 sports app doesn’t have an “update email address” function, requiring you to create a new contact for the players registered, create a new account, and delete the old one… You also can’t delete seasons/teams from years past to declutter your page, they just get separated into a different section. Even teams from the oudated original TeamSnap are still. Can’t delete old chat threads either, so there are literally dozens of them from old tournaments and sub-seasons, you can only hide them. With all the ads and windows for features almost nobody will ever want, and all the outdated obsolete info from seasons past, the UI is a complete nightmare. No wonder all the adult sport leagues I play in use BenchApp instead ✌️

I am so disappointed in less features in a new app? I am so confused why they put this one out if you can’t make assignments for games or anything useful for admins. We won’t be using this in the future
Calendar feed stinks
No feature to add each game individually to my own personal calendar like in the previous version. And no feature to export to excel or pdf.

Too limited
The old app was better for email, media and photos. They finally put out a web application to allow you to email the entire team or select people on the team but you can’t see or access the emails in the phone app like you could on the prior team snap.
Media, photos and videos can only be uploaded if they are connected to a “game” and not a practice or other event. The reason is likely so each is associated with a “game” rather than simply writing g a code to allow you to tag a photo with a game. It also prevents general uploads of any other media/files. If you are a sport that doesn’t have traditional “games” like track or cross country, you can’t change the title of the “game” to the specific event like you can with “other event” so if you want to use the media feature at all you have to call everything a generic “Game.”

Less options
With this new platform, I’m unable to assign kits for away in-home games. I am unable to directly message people that have not put availability for event events. Now I have to change notes to be able to access anything instead of just targeting the individuals who have not responded.
URLs are NOT iCal compliant - can’t sync!
Very disappointed with TeamSnapOne!!! Original TeamSnap allowed families to sync schedules with external calendars like Cozi, but TeamSnapOne does not. Cozi confirmed that TeamSnapOne’s calendar URLs are not iCal compliant. For families managing multiple kids and activities, calendar syncing is essential. This is a major step backward and needs to be fixed.

Two apps that could be one?
So if one league/activity pays the money for the extra stuff I have to not only download that app but ALSO keep the other one?? Making this management system a business and not a helpful tool.
Please got back to the old one!
