Advance ratio needs to be in app

The advance ratio needs to be in the app. I’d like to see this metric alongside the other six metrics to tell at a glance, if I’m putting good spin on the disc in relation to my speed.

Instant Feedback

I finally bought a TechDisc. Should have done this a year ago. I’m 65 and didn’t start playing until I was 60. I’ve increased my arm speed by 10 MPH in less than a week. I’m up over 55 MPH now and still climbing. I’m throwing 350+ and beat my friends that are 10 years younger than me. Can’t wait to break 400 feet! Thank you TechDisc!

Great Tech - great company

The TechDiscs are outstanding products for improving your game. I threw mine 7000+ times in 2025 - every shot in my game has improved. The app is equally excellent - the telemetry alone is invaluable. The video feature, with auto slow-mo in the power pocket, is incredibly useful for debugging your form. Company continues to innovate their software and provides great support when things go wrong.

Connect button

The connect button needs more padding from the bottom. It is consistently difficult to select throws because of the placement of the connect button and the iOS action bar at the bottom.

Best tool

The tech disc is fun and a great learning tool. Wish there was a free trial with disc purchase for simulated courses to see if it’s worth $99 bucks or if it’s busted simulator. I may find out this winter.

FAQ

What does the TechDisc app do?

The TechDisc app connects to a specialized hardware sensor attached to a disc golf disc. It measures key throwing metrics such as spin, speed, nose angle, hyzer angle, launch angle, and wobble. This data helps users analyze their throws and improve their disc golf game.

What kind of data can I get from the app?

You can measure and analyze various aspects of your throw, including spin rate, speed, nose angle, hyzer angle, launch angle, and wobble. The app also identifies your throw type (e.g., backhand, forehand) and angle (e.g., flat, hyzer, anhyzer) to help you sort and filter your throws effectively.

Is the TechDisc app free to use?

The app itself is free to download and use. However, it requires a TechDisc hardware sensor to function and measure data. There may be in-app purchases available for additional features or services.

What are the common use cases for the TechDisc app?

Users can use the app to measure their drives, upshots, standstills, hyzers, and rollers. It's ideal for understanding consistency in speed, identifying areas for improvement in angle control, and tracking progress over time to achieve better performance on the disc golf course.

What devices is TechDisc compatible with?

The description specifically mentions 'TechDisc for iOS', indicating compatibility with Apple devices. Users should ensure their iOS device meets any specific version requirements for the app to function correctly with the TechDisc hardware.
