Advance ratio needs to be in app
The advance ratio needs to be in the app. I’d like to see this metric alongside the other six metrics to tell at a glance, if I’m putting good spin on the disc in relation to my speed.
Instant Feedback
I finally bought a TechDisc. Should have done this a year ago. I’m 65 and didn’t start playing until I was 60. I’ve increased my arm speed by 10 MPH in less than a week. I’m up over 55 MPH now and still climbing. I’m throwing 350+ and beat my friends that are 10 years younger than me. Can’t wait to break 400 feet! Thank you TechDisc!

Great Tech - great company
The TechDiscs are outstanding products for improving your game. I threw mine 7000+ times in 2025 - every shot in my game has improved. The app is equally excellent - the telemetry alone is invaluable. The video feature, with auto slow-mo in the power pocket, is incredibly useful for debugging your form. Company continues to innovate their software and provides great support when things go wrong.

Connect button
The connect button needs more padding from the bottom. It is consistently difficult to select throws because of the placement of the connect button and the iOS action bar at the bottom.
Best tool
The tech disc is fun and a great learning tool. Wish there was a free trial with disc purchase for simulated courses to see if it’s worth $99 bucks or if it’s busted simulator. I may find out this winter.
Broken
Too many connection issues. Linking to game impossible even with subscription.
Depressing
The TechDisc works great. But it’s hard facing the truth that my throws are consistently bad. I’m trying different things to get my nose angle to a respectable level but no luck yet. Also my speed, wobble, launch angle and RPM’s suck! I’m sure once I figure out what I’m doing wrong I’ll feel much better here and on the course.

Great, if you know what everything means.
This is a great tool to use to figure out exactly how you are interacting with a disc. However, the TechDisc tagline is very appropriate there: "Know Your Throw,": The app as it is currently (10/2025) is just an interface for players to get data and that is it. It's set up and geared towards players who are already intimately familiar with all of the metrics this measures, what good versus bad metrics are, and how to adjust them for an ideal throw in a given situation. They "Know Their Throw," or at least understand it.
The TechDisc website does offer an explanation for the metrics, but you have to navigate to Support, then Before You Buy to find the Tech Disc Metrics page where the explanation is. While training in the off season, or throwing in a field (where cell service might not be great), that kind of navigation can be a bit cumbersome and time-consuming, especially if you're in a groove in a training session.
I understand that this tool can be considered something for experienced players that have developed bad habits, are looking to break through a plateau, or who are looking to improve in general, but it leaves us newbies out in the cold when we are trying to establish good habits and muscle memory from the start. It would be nice to see an in-app knowledge base that answers quick questions ("Okay, my launch angle is 12, is that good or bad?" and "Where does "Flat" stop and "Anhyzer" begin?") with the option for more information. We're already innundated with a ton of new terminology; having a quick answer in the moment would really be helpful. Partnering with any of the companies that provide the molds (and thus probably have sponsored players) to create short explanation videos you can access in the app would also be great.

Best disc golf training tool. Period.
60 year old trying to transition from recreational player to something more advanced. Bough the tech disc with reservations given the price tag. Turns out it was worth every penny. Am currently trying to throw nose down which is insanely hard to do. Seems that, using tech disc, I’ve kinda got it after three days or so (250 throws). I don’t believe I would have gotten the same results in 3+ weeks of field training. Money well spent.

No simulator on IOS
Doesn’t allow the simulator on iOS.
Revolutionary app for disc golf
This is an essential app and disc to work on many types of throws in this sport.
Game Changer
This will make you throw farther. This is the most progress I’ve made in 10 years.
App needs work
The product works great. It has no problems connecting and displaying throw metrics. Why the simulator can’t be in the app is infuriating. Sure I can see the projected distance but if I want to show the flight bath in the simulator I have to go find a laptop? The simulator is only available through the web page and that’s not possible on an iOS device. As such, the app leaves more to be desired

Very useful app to train dis golf throws
First: This app is part of the TechDisc package you need to purchase seperately for about € 360. The TechDisc is a disc golf disc with built-in sensors to analyze your throw. This app reads out these sensors and provides you with an analysis.
What is great: You get all the information about your throw, which helps you to improve way better than just taking a slow-mo video. The app is easy to connect with the disc, has an easy to use UI and multiple players can use the same TechDisc independently. You can see your progress and analyze the effect to different flight numbers. Cool training gear, if you‘re willing to pay the money for the disc.
Why not 5 stars? Some minor UX things: To see the actual path of your hand (very helpful to understand your throw) you need to switch to a browser. The option to take videos of your throw and connect it to the analysis costs €100 per year, which is way too expensive, taking you‘ve already paid €360 for the disc.
Summray: Great training gear! It would be great if further version would aim towards the five stars.

Great product
I absolutely love my tech disc. Especially the auto video capture feature. It allows me to share my throws with metrics included without having to do any editing.

Great training tool
Very helpful in giving you immediate feedback on your throws. Very accurate numbers as well. I’m excited to learn the nuances of my throw so I can become a better player and help others understand what they should be working on!
$$
I’m very disappointed to see see that the software requires a subscription to use all the features included with techdisc.
Techdisc is an amazing tool. I can say that at least.

I cannot believe they would make you subscribe to their application to get all the features after buying a techdisc.
But great product.

Simulator glitchy
The overall product is great but the simulator portion needs work. Sometimes it comes up and sometimes it doesn’t. Have to reset app many times. Hopefully there are more advancements in this portion of the app/site.
